GR Yaris Seating postition really that high?

Hi all!

Do you guys really find the seating position to be too high? I'm around 177cm tall, and prefer to see a bit of my hood when driving, will I be able to get low enough?

I am 181cm tall, longer legs and shorter torso and I have no problem with the seat height.
You are a little shorter and I don’t know how your height splits between leg and torso but I would guess you should be ok and there should be enough adjustment in the seat height for you.

Oh great, thanks for the input! I would much prefer being able to see around me, since I ordered a car with Race pack, which doesn't come with parking sensors AFAIK.
 
I'm just under 6' (182cm), and love the driving position. For taller people (with longer torsos), I can imagine it's far from ideal.

The passenger seat however is a little bit comical if you have a tall-ish passenger alongside you. My girlfriend is 5'10" and towers over me when in the car (which she's massively impressed with). Needs to be set back and reclined a fair bit to make it comfortable for her on longer journeys.

Oh is the passenger seat not adjustable? Kinda weird but will make my 156cm tall gf look taller I guess haha

Passenger seat isn't height adjustable at all. My ex was a similar height to your GF and it was fine for her. Traded her in for a taller model though, but at least the new girlfriend likes the car and doesn't mind me giving it the beans on the roads near us (unlike the ex who wasn't a fan).

Mine gets white faced everytime I floor it in my Megane 275, can't imagine how she will react to AWD power delivery haha
 
I´m 1.84 cm and my hair touches the roof......less than 1 finger space left. you have to lay down the seat to sit comfortable....but you cant drive then ;)
 
I am 175cm tall, and my eye level is about half way up the windscreen glass, so the position is perfect.

It really depends on your leg to body ratio it seems!

How do you find looking back and into the left/right mirrors?

Side mirrors are fine.

Rear visibility is limited due to the low roof and tiny rear window. In the rear mirror you can see a lot of the inside of the car!

The worst bit of the rear visibility is the view is in a downwards direction through the glass towards the road, so you can only see so far behind you, maybe 75 meters. This is because I have the mirror positioned as high as it will go to stop it being in the way when looking forwards.
 
I am 172cm, and i like the seat position, for me it was one reason to buy the GRY.
 
171cm, perfect height and I don't care, what's behind me.

Serious, I have no problem with height, mirror, rear window or anything else.

Don't you think that the seat height has a very strong influence on the overview in the car, be it mirrors, rear window etc.?
 
It's fine. I actually have to lift the seat slightly so I can comfortably engage the clutch without having to compress the seat cushion. 166cm.
 
I am 6' 2" but with long legs/short body and haven't/don't have a problem with the seat height. But I can see that it could be a problem for somebody with short legs/long body, particularly if they are a member of the "coz racecar crew". ;-)
