GR86 Any chance Toyota UK would let imported GR86s have the 10 year warranty?

Having a look and wondering if an import might be an option

But put off by possible lack of warranty & potential higher tax

You would need to check this directly with Toyota Customer Services, but scrolling through the Warranty T&Cs I don’t think that they would, as your vehicle originates from outside of their stated Geographical Area.

Just can't see Toyota GB backing an imported car.

Would fully expect them to push you towards a secondhand Toyota approved car from the dealer network.

for the premium servicing costs you got to pay at a Toyota Dealer to maintain the warranty, it would work out cheaper to get a 3rd party waranty.

And in answer to your original question, NO CHANCE IN HELL Toyota GB will give you 10yr warranty on a car that wasn't supplied by them! :ROFLMAO:

I don’t know but what I do know is that a new Ranger Raptor, that comes with a 5 year warranty in most other countries has only 3 years here. To extend to 5 years costs thousands. And with Ford reliability, we all get that. So it’s definitely by-market. They would have no doubt increased prices when longer warranties are mandatory to cover themselves.

Its down to the importer (Authorised Concession for the country) to what they set. EU rules is minimum 3yrs statutory and UK has kept this rule too after Brexit.

Merc give 3yr (statutory warranty) in UK on EV models whilst the exact same model get 5yrs in HK albeit like Toyota UK, screwing you on making you take it back for annual maintenance, at an extortionate price.

There is no free lunch. Everything is there for a reason. Just like your Ford exmaple.
