Or to play devil's advocate, and as someone that couldn't find any local dealer willing take a deposit in advance... I hope all the dealers promising to prioritise in person orders despite not having a way to actually order anything don't get in the way of my online allocation... and we all get our cars on July :p

Lets just hope there are enough cars to distribute for all of us eagerly awaiting the first UK deliveries in July/August then. :)

Hi All, just joined forum after following this thread for a week or so. I've just called my local dealer where I placed my reservation previously and they also confirmed that it's said to be today for orders to open. Apparently their refresh button is getting hot :)

I wonder how many prospective buyers will change their mind about the colour choice when the demo cars and UK reviews start popping up.

Great choice on the colour, I definitely considered the red too as it will flicker in different shades of red/orange depending on the lighting and it contrasts nicely with the black accents.

From what I understand, if you change your mind by the time the demos turn up you’re either going to have to hope someone else has swapped the opposite way, or await a new build slot!

I didn’t want to go red originally because my current car (i30N) is red, but I’m not a fan of the electric blue and finding aftermarket bits that looked good on the grey without disappearing was so hard.

I’m really struggling with my colour choice and change my mind every day, no doubt I’ll change my mind again when I see cars in the flesh. As delivery dates get closer maybe it will be possible to swap car allocations with other people on the forum providing the dealers/Toyota online are ok with that? If so a colour exchange thread could be setup.

Yeah this is what I meant in the post! It’ll be like trading cards but with £30k sports cars instead, haha.
