GR86 What are your plans for the GR86?

While we are waiting for our cars to arrive I’m sure most folk will be making plans for some goodies for the new arrival, mine will be an Ignition Red 6AT, after managing to change colour from Electric Blue.

I’m expecting this may be my last ICE car so looking at it as a longterm keeper, especially with a 10/11 year Toyota Warranty. I’m not planning on any engine modifications, more “visual“ changes. Here are some ideas, which I’m sure will change but the idea is to create a GR86 (or 66 in my case) Club Series Ignition Red Edition

1. Private plate GR66 Zoo
2. Paint Protection Film on key areas
3. Bosch wiper blades (if the GR86 comes with usual Toyota rubbish)

Over time as a long term project
4. Black roof wrap, possibly carbon fibre
5. A duckbill in black / carbon fibre
6. Brembo or TRD brakes front and rear (GR86 calipers look like they came off our C-HR)
7. Different alloys, possibly Toyota 17inch Bronze forged
8. TRD gear shifter
9. Sound system upgrade?
10. TRD door closers
11. TRD engine bay struts to strut brace

Update , a pair of these would help with the TT QS look Recaro Pole Position seats are definitely “love em or hate em” , I loved them , found them very comfortable, and “snug”

I would like to get a cat back as well... but don't know which one to go for.

I'd like to get rid of the recessed tailpipe look with catback but need to be mindful of noise limits at places like Bedford, best sound might come from unequal length headers?

I just picked up a C8 corvette (not mine unfortunately!) that had full PPF done by Deluxe Car Care in Ascot, really good job. I spoke to them about getting partial PPF and ceramic everything else on the GR86 and changing the roof to black (you can get black PPF now apparently), waiting for a quote.

Sounds like a few of us must be fairly local to eachother! I found these guys yesterday through the Xpel website and reviews seem good.

Ideally I'd take it straight there from the dealer if pricing and availability is ok.

I'm going back there in a fortnight so they can do the first wash of the C8, will enquire about a potential group buy and set up a thread accordingly
