GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

it was blizzard yesterday so went to football practice with GR instead of A2. What a hilarous car GR is. Anyone who hasn't driven this car on snow and Ice misses so much of the greatness of this car.
I LOVE this car in ice and snow. Thought I’d risk studless tyres this year for the first time ever. Nokian Haka R3 has SO much more grip than I was expecting. First real amount of snow yesterday so came to the warehouse car park to do some donuts. Silicone sprayed my door and boot seals too. I’ve give up cleaning it.

WC celebration ride in Monte weather - well done TGR WRT!

Yeah, for those not realising it yet nor reading the rally threads, YOUR GR Yaris is now a *Homologation Special* of a proper Rally WORLD CHAMPION car - Rally2 so design, body and engine block were made for this goal finally achieved! Big congrats to Sami and Enni!

Definitely this. The achievement is quite remarkable as it did the title on its rookie year.
We might have gotten the same with GR Yaris WRC but it didn't ever materialize, unfortunately.

Will be interesting to see what Oliver does now.

Just read the news Sami has dropped Enni for next season with the step up to Rally1. Bit of a shit move. She can happily co-drive for me on the school run if she wants.

Washed the car and the mats, afterwards cleaned off asphalt stains from the sides of the car, then cleaned the rims off asphalt stains and brake dust, finally polished the exhaust tips to shine, and replaced the rear mudflap stickers with the help of friendly neighboorhood printer/ploter guy (10 eur for 2 x stickers), business as usual.

Have a nice weekend all !

Had my first real maintenance today at 9500 km, although they are not in the maintenance plan i changed both air filters anyway, they WERE dirty, and also added the Toyota FUEL additive that is obligatory in countries like Albania every 10 000, but i dont think our FUEL is that much better so i will be adding it every 10 000 anyway for a piece of mind and less carbon deposits. Used the best oil that is available in the Baltics supplied by Toyota network, after e-mailing product specialists (Warranty piece of mind).

Here is to another 10 k ! 10 k since August 7th, 2024.

Let me know how regular PVC(i guess you ordered such ?) behave in the cold, mine are doing good work, car still clean in the evening

I fancied a set of MFF but could not be arsed waiting with delivery. If PVC hold in the extreme of February then cool, if not I’ll get some Kaylan material and cut my own and use the rallyflapz brackets. I’m not a massive fan of the flap look unless a car is on a gravel spec rally car. But necessary to protect car in the winters we have.

Installed the forge turbo inlet I got for black friday two of the bolts to remove the OEM pipes where a bastard to undo but got there in the end... No other issues apart from dropping a ratchet spanner in the engine bay, it can stay in the undertray till tomorrow,

D088 Intercooler and oil cooler will be next, hopefully won't be waiting too long

That time of the year... Just had the service done a few weeks ago, now time for the yearly tradition, replace the air filter.

I know Toyota probably know what they are doing but four years is a long time

Also fitted a Cusco pedal extension

Agreed when the parts are pretty cheap it makes sense to swap it. Same with the plugs.

First time this year I had to put the heated steering wheel and seats on. -8 this morning was a little chilly. Attached is a photo so the uk owners can see what the heated steering wheel and seat button looks like 😉View attachment 32867
It's soo dumb that UK circuit pack models didn't get these options!! :cautious::LOL:
Enjoy! :giggle:(y)
