GR Yaris (Gen 2) Armijs GR YARIS MK2

Right, so, WRC badge ordered, and i will be ordering this sticker kit, because..... EDIT: Scratch that only ships to UK

I just could not cope after all, i hated the look. I swapped the sides, and now i am much more happier after all.

Also polished exhaust tips again while i am at it. Waiting for the badge and stickers now, and..... snow..... which looks to come now with one week delay after change in prognosis.

Our Land Cruiser 125 though is ready to plow now though, we finished it on time . Might share a pic some time later when my early 4 o clock mornings start.

Yesterday when i took the measurements of the middle section of the exhaust for the custom exhaust guys, i also took pics of the OEM "skid plate".

Looks like mounting places are still the ame as they were mostly on the regular Yaris from 2020, might be the cheapest option to get something quick.
We ordered for our Land Cruiser 125 from there as well after i found about this site from another member on here. Price is excellent for what you get imo.
And free shipping !

Over all now, just waiting for two of the guys i contacted to get back to me about approximate pricing on the custom made GPF delete, and still waiting for snow and a complete exhaust, the yesterday found Polish company might just be it really. Thanks @Euge for pointing it out !

Iโ€™m tempted to get an ulter for my mk1 or a ragazzon with 70mm tips.

I checked out ragazzon homepage and they already have everything for MK2, with valved exhaust included... ๐Ÿ˜…

Just sent them an email asking about prices, this might be it if the price is reasonable. We shall see, Poland is nearer though ๐Ÿคญ

I think the ragazzon looks nicer ๐Ÿ˜€

Is this โ€œskid plateโ€ fitted from factory as standard?

Mine doesnโ€™t have this!?

Well, yes, the plasticky one should be....
Iโ€™m assuming we donโ€™t get it here in the UK Iโ€™ve had a search for that plastic one and itโ€™s the GRMN one and is ยฃ400! Seems a bit steep if you asked me. Even if it is plastic Iโ€™d like it on mine. I donโ€™t have a plate at all. Nor did the mk1.

That is simply wild to me, well, i dont even know what to say, get something aftermarket from the MK 1 then, should fit.

I messaged Ragazzon with regards their GPF delete as I contact a local supplier here in the UK and they said POA means theyโ€™re not quite ready for sale yet. They got back to me today and said they will be available from mid December. No date though.

In the meantime I messaged a local powerflow fabricator for a price and theyโ€™ve said they can make a GPF delete for ยฃ245+vat. That seems reasonable to me when you look at the cost of a gen 1 ragazzon and gen 2 Milltek one.

Agreed, both of the two i contacted have forgotten about me, with Polish and Italian valved exhausts being just around the corner i wont bother really. i will probably start with GPF delete pipe to get some horses and more sound back, and then sometime arround spring probably order the exhaust itself, have spent all this year on existing upgrades, have to save up some.

In other news, the WRC sticker arrived ! Shout out to @GT23 who made this possible by DM'ing me, with the help of his buddy @MANU_design , i posted the link to his ebay previously on here. P.S. MANU_design also registered here wanting to advertise, but i guess he went about this the wrong way and did not contact an admin straight away doing the Vendor thing or however it goes, so this here is my appeal as he is now banned to @GR-Admin, pls dont kill the messenger, being me this time. Anyway, i chose the location next to the sterring wheel, as next to the handbrake i have the wireless charger.

Waiting for snow, jealous of the Swedish and Finnish members right now :ROFLMAO:

f**k me, managed somehow to lose the key today, and no trace of it, only car i was in after locking my own car, was searched multiple times, nowhere to be found... Insurance case of new key looks like it. Damn, luckily i have the phone thing so i can drive home with it today, but still, Samsung tag will be going on the new key... devastated right now, still dont understand how or where i lost it, i was at my desk and in that one car the whole time after closing it and trying to open it again without luck.

Great @Armijs I am very pleased you got the WRC beautiful sticker.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience.
Best regards Armijs.

Visited the local track early this morning before the start of official business, they let me use it for free, this was the first real try with the Yaris, the place is rather narrow, so I was being careful, here i could feel the limitation of tires not having any studs I suppose, not that much bite, but other than that a lot of fun, at the start needed the handbrake some but towards end weight transfer and accelerator release was enough for the most part, need a bigger field to really put it through its paces though. Again being real carefull not to smash in to some tires, just having quick fun :) At least now i know how it handles, and what to expect, if im not mistaken this was done in gravel mode to be most nearest to 50:50 at all times as possible, and it behaved as i expected for the most part. With Track at times it gave too much power to the rear the previous times i tried and for snow driving like this it dragged the arse out too much unnecessary if that is not your goal. Gravel was great for this kind of driving.

P.S. Yes i know about my hands, most of the time i was thinking about the back of my head not being in the frame
Have to extend the camera more to the front or to the side to escape this, or even rather just put it on the roof for such moments, not sure.

Afterwards gave it a wash and siliconed all the door rubbers so it doesn't freeze, -1c at the moment snowing heavily now.

Had a great time today, wishing such conditions for everyone that has a Yaris GR ;)

I got snow envy. We have minimal snow here!

Thanks for the silicone spray tip btw, noticed my door/windows sticking this morning and yesterday. Just picked up a can of silicone spray! We had a little snow here so might pop to the work car park for some donuts ๐Ÿ˜€

Had my first real maintenance today at 9500 km, although they are not in the maintenance plan i changed both air filters anyway, they WERE dirty, and also added the Toyota FUEL additive that is obligatory in countries like Albania every 10 000, but i dont think our FUEL is that much better so i will be adding it every 10 000 anyway for a piece of mind and less carbon deposits. Used the best oil that is available in the Baltics supplied by Toyota network, after e-mailing product specialists (Warranty piece of mind).

Are you planning to go on gravel roads? Is the plastic cover not good enough?
