GR Yaris The EcuTek thread

It's a long process doing it via remote I'm 5 weeks in and on 6th revision so hopefully done soon
Are Litchfields doing your remote mapping? I went with them and it was finalised on revision 6 within a week.

You guys are getting 6 revisions?! I got a base file which was doing some very weird part throttle things whilst data-logging then one revised file afterwards (Eventuri + HKS GPF back)

I'm on rev. 5 from Litchfield since having it for two weeks, it's taken longer than expected with Iain and myself being busy for parts of that time.

Just out getting a datalog and expecting the next to be my final map.

If you’re doing the mapping through Litchfields give Iain a call, they’re very friendly and helpful

Hmm I’ll have to give them a call. I did email Iain as initially he was very helpful with the first revision but since then no response to any emails. I assumed you only get one tweaked file but if you guys are having multiple revisions…

I feel lucky!

But good to hear the pursuit of a satisfactory map oof the car needs it.

Just checking but have you sent your data logs back to Litchfield via the App?

Yeah done that and received a revised file along with some other changes such as the high power map is now position 1 etc but nothing since. Will give them a call.

Target is 1.5 bar, here's a couple of pulls showing the target and actual boost.

This wasn't on my final map, but in the file I sent after the base map was loaded, but with such a mild overshoot I presume we're looking at wastegate inadequacy more than anything else.

Well, that’s absolute pressure 😉 but yes, it looks set for 1.65 bar.

I’ll maybe do another log with the final map.

Is anyone monitoring MT temperature via Ecu Connect at all? I notice it reads higher than engine oil temp after driving for some time.

Before getting this I had a Torque Pro dashboard via OBDlink MX dongle and the PID used for gearbox temps in that always reads below engine oil temp.

I'd assume Ecutek got it right, but after driving hard for some time it loops around to a negative value!

(Excuse the cluttered dashboard, still playing and barely any clue what I'm doing)

I asked Ecutek and they said they'll check with their GR but have heard nothing since.

I'm also using Torque Pro PID and at c70deg from memory on fast road use. Interested to know which read is right, as there is obviously quite a difference between the two.

Would you mind sharing what issues you’re having please that I've not driven the car properly to notice any issues .The last 2 logs car feels quicker getting to the limiter

Would you mind sharing what issues you’re having please that requires 7 revisions?
I've not drivin the car properly to notice any issues, I just presume it's small tweaks now hopefully done soon
