GR86 What optional extras would you have paid for if you had the choice when buying the GR86?

I cant edit the poll, but assuming 'other' is mainly brake upgrade which I'd agree with

Front defrost windscreen is a good call on the daily driver.

Its great to see how varied people's wants are, other than more colours I think if I could choose 1 thing, auto wipers would be it, drizzle last night annoyed me, need either 'proper' rain or dry

Comfort setting for the suspension & a Black/Red interior like some other markets got.
I love my Red car but how did Toyota get away with calling it a Pearl & charging what they did for it!

With you! I still hurt on paying £965 for a solid blue finish billed as pearlescent by Toyota who got out of it by saying it was an error. Weird error as they'd been using the Neptune paint on special editions of the GT86.

That looks good. Whatever happened to the targa/t-bar, A GR86 t-bar would have been great!

Concept of GR86/BRZ2 is brilliant, the price/value is unbeaten for a petrol head like me. Except some basic changes (colours, trim and maybe some other clever ideas) any update and change would be expensive and will collide with my personal philosophy: Does it make me faster? If answered "no" I don't need it.

All of the above, plus actual privacy glass (as I hate the look of aftermarket tints). To be fair though, it's probably a good job that they didn't offer any options as I have a tendency to tick all the boxes and the car would have very quickly become expensive!

I’m similarly afflicted on that front !

My car is yet to arrive so hard to know if the list would change but privacy glass would be on the list as would

• Ducktail spoiler
• Higher spec audio pack some markets can option (improved resolution screen and reverse camera included)
• Red carpets/interior accents.
• A track/competition pack or similar with a better exhaust note and brake set up that doesn’t look like it’s been borrowed from a mid 90’s 1 litre Micra.

I have a few additional thoughts:

1. I like the whole ethos of buying a car for the advertised price with only the colour and perhaps one or two other things to choose to add. Very much a Japanese thing generally, as opposed to the German approach where a 30k car can become a 50k car with supposedly essential options added.
2. I would like a rear wiper. I'm pretty sure I am alone in wanting this, but perhaps it's something us 911 owners like having experienced it on a coupe.
3. Great thread @SJR202 , and some very interesting replies. I've enjoyed reading.

Ditto to the above.

Here are some things I've been considering though:
- self cleaning / retractable reversing camera with higher resolution.
- same for the front. The low front lip has hit a couple of curbs already.
- ideally 360 parking camera as visibility is a bit shit.
- factory fit dash cams.
- rear privacy glass / tint.
- body kit, lip, skirts, option.
- mud guards
- steel wheels (for cheap upgrade).
- footwell / glovebox lights.
- Somewhere to put my phone with charger.
- a key hole. (I don't like keeping it in my pocket). Or a smaller key.
- Self cancelling indicators.
- turbo
- satnav / media toggle button
- passenger knee room enhancer (glovebox/shelf delete).
- upgraded stereo / sound deadening option.
- boot jack etc...
