Yes My Golf GTi folded the mirrors automatically on lock so I always knew it was locked. Now I'm trying the door handle on the GR86 carefully not to open if actually locked :)
 
So are we saying that if a burglar nicks my car then it will only track if they connect it to bluetooth?

How about the fella on the forum whose name we not speak, who had his car nicked and went to the dealer who set him up with MyT Find my car and he found it parked in a side street?
 
Update on my tracking experiment. It does not track the car when I left the car at the detailers 30 miles away I got home and it showed it as at home due to that being my phone location. Pretty useless. Sorry if got anyones hopes up although I guess we are all somewhat used to disappointment ;)

I can confirm the above - you can only pin the location of the car manually.

Maybe the app need some kind of update to make some services available for GR86, but like stated already - due limited numbers in EU, I doubt this will be prioritized...

Also I had Recall/ DCM Update done today but still can't see any difference.
 
I've uninstalled it - almost completely useless!
 
I've found that the only thing of use in it, once you've got your car and your not using it for delivery updates, is the cars service history.
 
Ha. I’m the same, maybe it needs you to add a Toyota rather than a Subaru?

Why, you may well ask.

Let me tell you.

I could just about put up with the fact that it doesn't do anything of use at all - can't tell me where my car is unless I tell it where my car is first (!); can't lock or start or warm up my car; can't provide me with any driving metrics, etc etc etc.

But what I absolutely bloody cannot abide, is the sodding Christmas tree that was STILL coming up when you open the app, and the silly effing snowflakes falling over the picture of the GR86. It's practically summer for goodness sake.

I tried that and not much happened. I think it is mainly for receiving a head unit software update, which I didn't try.
 
Now I've got the car the app seems useless so I uninstalled it.

Car is connected to my home wifi but it's only for infotainment updates and there haven't been any yet. It does reconnect regularly though!
 
Have they got rid of that twatting Christmas tree from the app loading page yet?
 
Think mines broken - been stuck on Processing Order for ages…
