GR86 What features are available in myT?

Or you could walk 50 yards with your phone where you will notice that the location has moved to where you've just walked. If you didn't want to wait for Monday that is.

So is it different in the GR86 to the GR Yaris?

With the GRY it shows both the location of the car and my location:

In this case they're relatively close together, as the car is parked not too far from where I am. But if I go for a walk, the red dot will move and the car stay put where it is.

There's no car unless you place it yourself. There's only a red dot for me.

Before I even collected the car the app showed it parked on my drive, or wherever I parked the GT86. I assumed it worked on the location when you were last connected to the Bluetooth, or something like that, not a live location / active tag.

This looks really cool if it worked, never been able to get a picture of the GR86 to show on the map. This is after logging in again when car was collected.
 
I use Apple Maps.
It shows where it had last Bluetooth connection to the car. This is not a live tracker obviously but let’s me find the car in a large car park. Mind you mine is electric blue that shines like a lantern from a mile away 🤣
Will get also an AirTag for the car, the best idea I think.

Does the automatic version have more features like the US / Canada one where the car can be remote started from the App and the heating / defrosting system put on to pre heat/ clear the car.

My dealer thinks that is only available for Subarus. Toyota's MyT app sadly does not play ball with Subaru systems. Shame really.

It works in the US, so I don’t see why it couldn’t work.
 
Anyone know if there is a Subaru equivalent of the MyT app that might work (properly :ROFLMAO: ) for our cars?
 
Picked ours up yesterday, was told any recalls would have been applied (PDI Friday). Had to add the car back into my Toyota. Zero functionality in the app, not even location (although no phone service where we live so maybe it’s trying). Can’t say there’s anything I particularly want, but wondering the point of it? Would be nice if it could tell you if the car is locked I guess, rather annoying the mirrors don’t fold.
 
I think the app in the US is called something different. I can see MyT is developed by Toyota EU, I suspect it probably needs a bit of updating to work with the Subaru system. I guess given the limited number sold in EU, they decided it was worth paying for this to be done.
 
I have been at work and my other half has been in the GRY and the MyT app has noted her comings and goings; Mostly various hotels in the area but that's neither here nor there.

MyToyota is logging the cars movements whether I'm with it or not and I'm the only one that has the MyT app set up, the other half doesn't. She does have something called adultwork which she says is for businesses that need servicing.

@Pappyjohn Is your other halfs phone connected to the car in anyway?
