A spectacular achievement, well played! and err, Sports Utility Veh.... nah, I just can't see that ever catching on.
 
Took my wheels off to clean them, overkill but it's so much easier than trying to do it on the car and I'd been meaning to clean off the ton of waxoyl type grease from when they sprayed it with gunk at Derby... Not the tidiest job but the wheels are all sparkling now.. Well, as sparkling as a soft sheen gets
 
Its quiet straight forward, if you search on eBay for GR86 headlight protection film, it from Pre-cut PPF and Tints, costs £19.99 they are already cut to size so no trimming required. Have a search on you tube and there plenty of tutorials but this one explains it well:



You just need a spray bottle, microfibre cloth, a squeegee and a slip solution which you make from distilled water and a few drops of baby shampoo.

Took me about 20 mins in all as the lights are fairly flat, you don't need the tac solution as its just used to stick areas where its tricky to smooth the film over sharp corners and there none on the GR86 headlights

At the end of the day you may as well have a go, if it all goes wrong and you end up taking it off all its cost you is £20 and 20 minutes

Just been sat in the car adding some trip tape to the edge of the speaker grille on the driver side. I get a noticeable creak/rattle from the bottom of the A-pillar when the car is cold, hoping that sorts it. But if anyone else has experienced the same and narrowed down the cause, please shout.

Mine was really bad there, told Toyota to fix it at my service and TBF they did, all gone. Can't tell you what they did I'm afraid
 
Yeah, it was actually quite loud, but it would only happen when it was really cold and disappeared after a couple of miles.

I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction (to the right thread) as I think I saw discussion about something similar.
Long story short, I had the service done today. When I came back home from it and sat idling on the driveway the rev meter went red from 4k above, just like when the engine is cold.
Any idea why or where the thread about this is?

2nd attempt servicing went fine and I requested a discount for the inconvenience, got 10% off which I found fair.

Sounds like you have the rev warning set?
Use the right hand steering wheel pad to goto the settings/screen/rev menu to turn on/off, or change the warning limit.
When I picked mine up it was turned off, but set to 2000 rpm!

Washed it. First one of the year. Was hard going but after 2 washes with different soaps it was 95% there. Lot of tar and contaminants to remove since I've used it all Winter. Mostly mark free. PPF where it's fitted is doing it's job. Entropy gets us all in the end anyway so It's daily driven and hard as often as possible. Still don't know what mods are next. Strut braces possibly, want to get a better brake setup eventually, more because stock look small and are already tarnishing. May do an order from Japan, take the hit on the scandalous postage and do it all in one go.

I thought that so I double checked, but it was red, turning on the rev limiter makes the dial orange. Also, this happened only after I drove from the dealership back home, I'm pretty sure on the drive back it was normal.

Yeah, true, it's orange not red - that's an odd one then.
I've got to be honest and say that I never even notice the 'cold' rev limit...
 
Racked up a couple hundred miles this weekend. First proper blast on my own yesterday on some good and fortunately quiet roads and out with SWMBO today for a good run.

Needless to say I’m absolutely loving it, still running it in so looking forward to getting past 4k but even still it’s great fun. 😀

Delighted that SWMBO also enjoyed it today as it’s a long drive to Silverstone to JapFest from here and even longer to Switzerland for a holiday later in the year! 😂
