My S5 Stumpy is around 20mm shorter than yours. I’ll get the car and work it out from there I guess - and come home in the dark 😉
 
Saw some decorative rings for the vents on Aliexpress and decided to 3D print my own:

How did you find installation? Did you install the front camera “above or below” the rear view mirror and does the windscreen tint/shade limit our options?

I did a quick install, fitted front only , just to left and below mirror avoiding shading section.

My Nextbase regularly falls off in heat so one turn of cable around mirror fixing leaving filter exposed. I may cable tie later.

Easy to tuck cable under headlining and down A pillar, small section of wire visible routing from A pillar down to side of dash at joint.

12v socket is ignition switched.

It makes easier if you pop out the glove box. Just move right section to left and unhook stay on left.

Once box tilts down falls off pivots.

I may tidy up later, but wanted installed as it has saved me in past !
 
Inspired by @JR286 , I too have acquired and fitted the little seat motifs, cos I liked the look of them.

Eight quid delivered, for the pair.

I think they look alright. I've only attached them temporarily for now, so if I still like the look of them tomorrow I'll fix them properly.


Edited to add: They look yellow-green in the pictures. Rest assured, they are not. The satin finish is reflecting the lush Warwickshire plant life surrounding my drive!

Spectating at the Historic racing at Croft circuit yesterday - season ticket holder so track side parking - didn't even get chance to give it a good wash before going but it looks decent enough (BTW Track is behind me!)

Found a screw in my tyre yesterday evening. Drat.
Luckily it was one of those short little roofing screws and was in the tread block....unscrewed it and it hasn't punctured the tyre.

Also fiddled with my clutch pedal and made it a bit nicer. Will update the ever exciting clutch pedal thread in a bit.
 
I checked the oil level, 9 months and 6000 miles in and it’s at 2/3rds of the way up the dipstick having been sat for a week, should these be kept brimmed or is that ok?

I think given the concerns we've heard around oiling (albeit not on road), and how easy it is to add some, I'd just keep it topped up to max whenever possible

A house key fell out of my pocket whilst driving a few months ago. At the time I had a good rummage under the seat but couldn't find it.

In the past few weeks I started hearing metallic sliding noises under my seat whenever I cornered fairly hard.

This afternoon I managed to remove the sill trim below the driver's door and then detach the white trim strip underneath that holds the carpet in place (the carpet is stapled to the white trim strip). I pulled the carpet back and voila! there was my key which I was able to retrieve fairly easily.

So take care with small objects in the car. There are a few holes that they could disappear into.
