GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

It won't be the same one. Not for £35, unless they missed the 1 off the front of it.
I have found 3 official luggage trays/carpets available

USDM plastic

JDM waterproof

JDM carpet (the one I bought)

I am interested to see which we get in the UK

I expect we'll get one that matches our floor mats - not deep pile like some of the others seems to be.

Why they have so many different mats I don't know!

Installed my new knob

OK so after being rim-shamed yesterday following my cleaning session, I have made amends, my rimming-proficient comrades.

After being subtly directed to acquire a utensil to get right up inside the rim (by @LukeC22 , and others), I had a dig around my garage and found something I forgot I had bought a while ago and had never used:

So I re-cleaned and re-sealed my wheels.

I hope this meets your very high standards, comrades.

I can heartily recommend a good rimming session on a Friday afternoon.

Peer pressure or public shaming, it's because we care.

As for your Friday afternoon recommendation... I concur.

My confession is also wheel based. I don’t think I like the colour, it’s a weird dull black that seems to have a hint of blue (although that’s from the one time I’ve cleaned them and it might be slightly skewed as my car is blue so clips have been a reflection thing)
I was pondering this yesterday after my session; you can definitely see the hint of blue in this picture.

I don't love the wheels. It's not so much the colour as the odd texture.

Yeah, silver can be a bit bright sometimes, so a slightly darker shade like gunmetal is a good shout, and I think that's what the BRZ has.

On the old car, once it was a few years old, I had the wheels refurbed in shadow chrome. The finish only lasted a few years and I had them redone again in silver, but I preferred the shadow chrome.

Shadow chrome:

Silver:

At least the new wheel design has fewer spokes...so much easier and quicker to clean.

 Right Thread now. 🙄

I've done it. 4 up going into Salisbury today. Two 6ft'ers in the front and two 5ft 9-10"'ers in the back. I would say that I just had enough room to drive safely, knee was just missing the dashboard and I was comfortable enough once I'd got in.👍

Morning blast over to Podium Place with the little one. 600 miles done!

Some pretty cool stuff over there today. Little RX8 gathering, Civic EK9, they started up the 720S and V10 R8 inside the café too which scared the crap out of my little one 🤣

Also followed the new Civic TypeR most of the way home, it looked much better in the metal than photos.

Topped off with a big thumbs up from a Celica driver whilst stopped at some lights. 😁

... oh, and this car is like Jekyll and Hyde once the roads dry out and tyres warm up!

Top content! Photos much appreciated. Love that old school CTR.

Recall done, few options enabled, oil changed and quite reasonably too. The annoyance was having to drop it down Thursday night, walk home then walk back down Saturday for it, to sales guys who don't know anything as it's all service. Paperwork I'll have to get another day. Mad there's no service in on a Saturday, even if it was only to pick up cars and parts. There has been in the past with other manufacturers, even if it was only half day Saturday.

Did mean I got to ride the Triple to work Friday. As 2 vehicle garages go I'm very happy. If I include my road bike too I'm going to have a hard time come the nicer weather to choose what to play on.

Pretty successful weekend. Gave the car a clean with all my new fancy gtechnic ceramic wash products. Bit of a fail with the snow foam lance I bought. No matter how much I fiddled with the dials it just wasn’t very foamy.

Today I swapped out the usual halogens for LEDs, added my smoked rear overlays from driven media to the rear and finally added some representation to the small rear windows.

Stuck some more miles on it, hitting 750 now.

Did you go light smoke or dark smoke? Gonna order this now tbh
Assuming dark and, indicators etc still visible etc?
