GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Took mine out for a few errands yesterday, the cold greasy roads meant it didn't take much provoking to get loose, the traction control surprised me, it's not as intrusive as I expected, you can get a bit of opposite lock in without intervention which is really nice. Oh and heated seats are lovely in this weather 👌

Gave my cars a blast with the pressure washer at lunch just to get the salt off. Also found my first stone chip! (.... Annnnnnnnd, I'm over it)

Wasn't sure I could be bothered to give them both a rinse, but then I saw the salt patches from under the wheels and I'm glad I did it now!

So it wasn’t technically today but at the back end of last week I went to visit my parents and I gave the car its first wash!

I think it goes without saying, though, the car is now just as dirty as it was before cleaning it but it was nice to get a clean in.

Came out this morning to this view though so it makes it all worthwhile.

Spotted a GR family member at the Shell/ford(?) garage. Colour scheme works on both quite well I thought

That's awesome, brakes held out ok then? Does it want to kick out all the time? Did you drive in track mode?

Brakes were absolutely fine although the cold ambient temps may have helped.

Once you load up the back end it bites surprisingly well and when it does break away it's very progressive and predictable. Slight understeer on the final corner that tempts me to put a bit of a camber on the front.

Used track mode to start but quickly felt comfortable enough to turn it off even though it's pretty unobtrusive.

Also, I really struggle to heel and toe on the road but on track it was absolutely fine.

Bought some new driving shoes. Another pair of Puma Drift Cats. Last pair of sued ones I've had over a decade and are the best driving shoes I've ever had.

Also got these. Lonsdale are chav but they are good to drive it and for £10 it was a no brainer and they match the car :ROFLMAO:

Looks good, I'll need some to help perfect my heel toe, where's the best place to pick these up from?

Looks awesome! May I ask which parts of the car you had covered in PPF and approx cost?
Been quiet here and still will be for a bit. Few updates

Ceramic coat and PPF on most of it.

Hit the 1000 miles run in. It's so good! I'll expand on this later

Within a week with the roads as they are it's minging in seconds. Did do a contactless snowfoam and hose down but then went up the Blacks and it was minging again. Some interesting aero and the wheels really suck dirt in.

The fine emporium and purveyor of exquisite bespoke gentleman's athleisure wear that is Sportsdirect.
How does one join such an exclusive emporium?

My father's father didn't go to Eton so assuming I cannot purchase from there?

I'm afraid it's one of those things... if you know, you know, and if you don't then only friends in high places will be able to help.
