A kind redditor based in Florida put his GR shift knob and key fob covers up for sale and received them last week. I seem to be acquiring a fair few knobs now...
Might change to it soon, the Billetworkz titanium one is great and definitely eye catching but you just can't grip it the same as the other two. No innuendo jokes, Sonic!

I drove it to training for the first time with the new gtek clutch spring (the 66 one) and what a game changer, I only wish I'd done it sooner.
It's taken away my main gripe about the car, I cannot recommend it enough! (just don't drop the nut when you fit it!)

Mark (i think its Mark?) has managed to sort the throttle mapping apparently and was very positive about what he achieved, I was told it was a UK car with only a cat back.
Said between 250-260hp which I was quite surprised at, not seen the dyno results.
So really great news, I cant be the only one that was waiting for Abbey to sort the throttle response - Its half of why I want a remap in the first place.

Thanks, yeah it's Mark. I might ask about this when I'm in for a service towards the end of the year.

I'm almost certainly going elsewhere for a service this year. Tempted to go to Abbey and they can map it the same time and change the brake pads too.

Abbey Motorsport doesn't have anything to do with Abbey Toyota does it? Or just a huge co-incidence that the 2 best GR places in the south east are within 10 miles of each other?
Getting the throttle response better is my only remaining "issue" I have with the car, so if that's on the cards I'm 100% in.

That's great news, something I'd definitely be interested in, although I think a heavier clutch pedal sorted 90% of the issue out for me. 255-260 seems very strong, especially comparing to what the guys in the US are getting out of theirs using E85, exhaust changes etc. Would like to know more.

I was papped onto Facebook whilst at the tyre place (the BMW was getting the same tyres fitted!)460 mile round trip to Killin Highland Games, Scotland. Managed around 39mpg, also managed to pick up a screw on a rear tyre on the way there.
Added a bit of air at some services and ½ tin of tyreweld when I got to the games (with a quick spin around the street to spread it inside) and it stayed around 2.1/2.2 bar. On the return I added more air and it held all the way home.

Due to position, I think it'll need a new tyre, so will get it and a replacement on the other side sorted tomorrow.
A84, A85 from Stirling were great roads and the reason I took the GR rather than the family bus. The rain later in the day not so much.
(#1 daughter won the games too!)
How loud is the cold start now?
Not noticeably louder than before. Only get some extra sound when I floor it. Zero drone on cruise.
