Bit of condensation on my phone I think. It's more opening-helicopter-scene-from-Predator in-personDid you add a smoke machine as well?
I can't deny it's bordering obnoxious but there's something that tickles me about a black car glowing red. Besides, I'm a musician, I love a bit of showboating.
Now to pick between black or red billet caps for the engine bay

Put the standard exhaust back on and in the process the gasket between the mid pipe and back box crumbled into a million tiny pieces. Bugger. Have to drive it 300 miles tomorrow as well and the exhaust is blowing. Should be fine, right? Just down on power?
In other news, anyone want a remark axle back? Or know where I can get an exhaust gasket sharpish?
I'll try ringing my local dealership tomorrow, doubtful they'll have them on the shelf though.

Should be a 'standard' size; maybe Euro-CarParts or even get one fitted by 'Halfrauds' for a quick fix?
and yeah, will be fine - you'll just sound like a chav with a dodgy exhaust ...

Can't sound any worse than the Remark did in terms of chaviness!
The part numbers I've found so far are SU003-01113 and SU003-06425. The former is on the Toyota Direct parts site but the last time I ordered something there it ended up being delayed by around 10 days so I canceled the order.
Checked all the normal parts sites and not coming up with anything, other than Halfords having exhaust paste which I'd only do if it were life and death really.

Drove it for the first time in 6 weeks after having eye surgery.
Battery was flat-ish so charged it up overnight first.

I dont think you'll be losing much if any power with having a slight leak on that section. Just be mindful that if you're sat in a lot of traffic the fumes might come into the cabin.
Aaargh.... just checked the car was locked last night before going away for two weeks only to find the fob wouldn't lock it. Transpired it was a flat battery due to numpty me not shutting the boot proper a week ago . Hastily put it on charge overnight but only with a low amp charger. Still flat early this morning. Do you reckon I've killed it?
As soon as I get home I'll jump start off my other car but not hopeful.....

Depends on how flat, for how long, but quite possibly it's dead after a week.
Did your charger actually put any charge in? A lot of modern chargers won't do anything if the battery is too flat to be detected.
Sometimes they'll have a boost or force mode to kick things off, or you can connect another charged battery in parallel for a while to bring the voltage up.
If you have a voltmeter, measure the battery voltage - if it's under 12.6v after supposedly charging then it's probably done.

local dealer has sourced one for me, collecting tomorrow. Crisis averted and the car can be sold
Mine was like this after not driving it over winter. Ctec charger took couple of days if I remember to get it back to a state where it could be turned on.

Got myself some little dress up bits.
Was torn between the HKS and Blitz oil caps, went HKS given I want a Hi-Power Spec-L II one day.
Reckon this adds about 3-4hp surely, especially as they're red!

A bit late but I have only just recovered from my 'race the sun', Denmark style this past weekend. This is from Blåvand (west) to Møns Klint (east), both of which are Unesco nature sites so great start and end points. Amazing Sand Dunes one end and White Cliffs the other. Driving I tried to stay off the motorways and hit a few points of interest. Should have made it easily in 6 hrs but in the end we had to jog through the woods to get to the cliffs due a night parking ban at the eastern end! The last section before daylight saw three deers dashing in front of us plus a few hares so had to take it very slow to prevent any costly disasters.
This may be my swansong with the BRZ... It has been out for three months this year awaiting transmission parts. It has now has everything replaced:- gearbox, clutch, bearings, master and slave cylinders and still not 100%. I love looking at it and the idea of it but now speaking to the Alpine dealer to swap to a A290.
