GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Got myself a heavy duty Wheel Stand delivered today, so I can spend a portion of next week fettling the alloys prior to Sunday's car show. Also means that come the Winter wheel swap when the clocks go back, I can sit in my man-space and quietly titivate the Summer Alloys ready for 2025. šŸ˜Ž

Took mine to Rev it Up in Mold to discuss a commissioned sale.. Ā£27,500 my way they estimate… so it’s a decent plan B I’d say. They didn't seem to know anything about the car so I'd expect it's the first one they've seen

I’ll advertise in the usual places and see what happens..

ā€˜73 Ice Silver, 7,800 miles if anybody is looking

Went for a drive and less than 2 miles from home I bounced off a kerb. That’ll be the NSF alloy needing a SMART repair to about half its circumference
😭 ... As I unlocked the car a little voice in my head had said "stay home, you've just cleaned them all, you've got a show next week, why go out?". I should've listened.

Thankfully I've got a mobile repair booked for Tuesday morning šŸ™

Nothing more frustrating. I was working with the front robot mower today, then tripped over the control hood when it was open and tore it off. Much swearing later, I just went out on my bike and ditched the gardening 😁 Nice boat off Ayr today...

That'll probably be the Kismet? Approx £288 million and 400ft of superyacht. I bloody told Dad that I lived on the East Coast, not the West; such a poor Navigator, sheesh.
Only £3m a week to charter 😁

I feel your pain. My wife phoned me on Friday just to tell me she did the same, she was mortified, probably more pissed off than I would be for my car, so there's one swift sport diamond cut wheel sat in my boot to be dropped off tomorrow!

Would it be bad enough to get the alignment checked ?

Supercars Sunday at Prescott hill climb in the Cotswolds

Sunny day watching some expensive metal blast up the hill.

No GRs taking on the hill - our ā€œsuper carā€ isn’t classed as a ā€œsupercarā€ by the organisers!

Still, reminded of the incredible value in smiles per mile we get from our lightweight reasonably priced GR86 costing a fraction of the price of some of the ā€œsuperā€ stuff!

A few pics…

Uber run. Tintagel, Cornwall. D’86 made short work of the return trip. Home before midnight.

Commitment! In prime motor home season down some of those roads added to the countless Ā£500 shotboxes that seem to spawn travelling at 60 mph down blind single track I’m not convinced I’d have the balls to take a car as low as the 86 on that trip šŸ˜
