From the inserted photos and the calculator below, that's quite a difference in poke (+30.7mm), which would seem to be about right given the slight excess of tyre outside of the aero tab.
When buying my Summer Wheels I estimated that I had around 25mm to play with given the oem offset of 48 and 7.5" rims; so using my rough measurements I went with a conservative 8" rim, a 42 offset and some 225 tyres - a resulting poke difference of a mere +12.3mm.
Although I love the look of those big dish rims, stretching oem tyres to match a bigger rim makes me nervous...

Wind him uo by suggesting your be reporting him for hit and run, which technically it was.
Dreadfully early morning drive out to Kent this morning to go walk over some hills, took the motorways for simplicity. On the route home I kept it to the back roads, when I could open it up its just such a pleasure to drive, and especially at the somewhat slower speeds many of the back roads demanded. Same giddy feeling, hasn't lost any of its charm over the past 10 months. Needs a battle clean this evening if I find the time before Beaulieu tomorrow, plus a little present in the form of gas struts for the bonnet also seem to have arrived...

Nice! Parked next to a Karmann Ghia. I was lucky enough to have one of those as my first car.
Yes was a nice car and well used by the 80 year old man. He goes all over Europe in it. Tell you what was strange, guy used to work with my dad back in the 70s and also knew my mums family. He was from where I grew up mind you.
That is quite a coincidence.

Caffeine and Machine the Hill, meeting my bro in his MX5 RF. Parked next to a lovely red GT86. Nice silver GR86 nearby too and a couple of GRYs spotted.
Maybe it’s positive vibes from the nicer weather but the car keeps feeling better and better now its over 4k miles.

Got mine before the car landed. Still not put them on
. I’d forgotten about them after I’d fitted Endless brake pads and Motul RBF 700.

Early morning coffee run to gently bed in the new brakes. After a bit of hassle getting them bled I’m really happy with the result.

Going to be heading over to Caffeine & Machine The Hill Toyota Yard Meet on Tuesday so I thought I'd give the car a spruce up.
Thankfully it was cooler than the 30 degrees on Friday and there were no heavy rain showers like yesterday.
Found a couple more stone chips on the front, annoyingly. Perhaps I should have got some of that four grand cling film stuff some of our comrades advocate, to wrap the cheese-like paint in.
Although, as all cheese enthusiasts know, one shouldn't use cling film for wrapping cheese.
Perhaps I have taken this rather clumsy cheese and film analogy far enough...

Since water based paint was bought in paint durability has always been
. It’s a no brainer to have PPF fitted from new. Just guarantees your car looking better for longer and also keeping the factory paint/ colour match for longer.
