Reminds me of the Top Gun intro scenes featuring the Flight Deck (FD) steam catapult preps (trimmed clip inserted):Took my car out from its cover for the first time since early January, had a drive, rather more ice than I expected.

Easy job if you decide to go aheadPickled up mudflaps from the dealer after they called to advise that they now have them in stock. Still undecided about fitting them, hoping to see them on a car or two at Jap Fest to sway me one way or the other.
That looks awesome, where abouts in the country did you go driving? Some more pics from this morning. Car now safely back under cover ready for the next sunny day, sometime in May. Still love driving it as much as I did a year ago.

Chatting to a mechanic friend of mine and he says that a lot of dealerships are having trouble getting competent technical staff. A few dealership chains up here have even had ‘open days’ to try and recruit mechanics etc,. Judging by their efforts on your number plate, they still look to be employing nose-picking monkeys… the dealer used the front plate spacing and drilled both plates at the same time, meaning they missed the drill dimple placement on the rear.
And charge for fillet mignon. One of the reasons may be the pay is usually insulting. Pay peanuts, etc.
I can’t decide either. Always had them on my MR2 since new but never had them fitted to a 5 series and never missed them. Not really sure who they benefit most - me or the car behind?Pickled up mudflaps from the dealer after they called to advise that they now have them in stock. I’ve nearly ran out of petrol 3 or 4 times now in mine - never happened before in any previous carDrove it that much the fuel light came on. Not seen that yet in 14 months of ownership.![]()
I nearly always go 10 to 20 miles past zero before brimming it, never been able to get 48 litres in.I’ve nearly ran out of petrol 3 or 4 times now in mine - never happened before in any previous car![]()
