GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

Went for yet another winter-night drive late yesterday. Being the big one for once :)

Dropped mine off for a minor service today. Booked in on the app at the weekend and called Monday to say it will take 2hours not 1.5hrs but couldn’t actually say why. I believe other than oil it’s all visual?

Dropped it off this morning to tell me it was my 3rd service 🤨 no 5th it’s 30,000 miles.

They can’t wash it (poor thing will have to wait another 6,000 miles now) 🤭

We will see you at 5pm, no it’s a waiting appointment.

I await to see what else they can’t get right.

Pilgrimage
Thought about washing it but was a tad cold.
The crusted layer of salt all over mine after the pilgrimage to Macclesfield today (that’s what I did to mine today) is unreal, need to get the hose out tomorrow. Followed a Z4 through the Peak District which didn’t have any rear lights working which was pretty nuts. The car in-front tried to get its attention but they were oblivious. Otherwise a stunning drive over Cat & Fiddle with the sunset tonight - didn’t get any pics though.

Spent several hours running some errands for #2 and partner while they are away. No snow :p but some rain. Heading home on roads unknown I saw a white gry a couple of cars behind. Few traffic lights later and a pristine stock poverty pack was beside my far from clean not so stock poverty pack. Windows down, I gave him a wave, he looked over mine and gave me a thumbs up. His though seemed much faster. I sat on the speed limit but he disappeared into the distance...

I considered cleaning mine.

I did clean mine at last, it looks great if spotless and also great if it’s caked in mud, but that middle in between look isn’t my favourite and is the vast majority of the time.

I’m glad it’s washed though, need to find the post on the underside washing thing somebody made to rinse it now I’ve finally bought a hose.

Cleaned the latest load of salt / dirt off, took it for a drive to 'dry it off'. I'm sorry but the best time to drive it is in winter - mine isn't treated either.
The highlight of the day was the blue Honda Civic VTi following me on part of the trip.
I think the clutch might be going though. TBH not bad as it has done nearly 30k miles.
