GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

I had a nice run over to Collins on Wednesday. I ended up getting Mongoose GPF delete pipe with a resonator fitted while I was there to my C-Tec exhaust, along with the map to suit my MST induction.

The drive back was great and the difference in torque and power is noticeable, particularly after around 3800 rpm, the iMT still works and I was provided with a copy of the 3rd gear WOT values. The car now sounds a bit raw, but I only do around 20 miles a day in it, so it's OK for my daily and weekend use.

I did notice the rear registration plate was vibrating like mad, so I removed it and cleaned up the adhesive with a caramel wheel and put a lot more adhesive sponge tape on it. I do have a secondary rattle now and that seems to be the cover for the rear tow hook, so I will have a look at that over the weekend.

Happy GRing !

Snap I did the same yesterday. They fitted my Whifbitz GPF delete and the map was added to go with my HKS back box and eventuri. Noticable difference especially higher up the revs and really shifts now, a really great value map and Gary is great to deal with highly recommended for anyone considering a map.

New painted bumper and grill assembled Wednesday, fitted yesterday after work, got darker quicker than I thought, snapped a quick photo on the way out this morning, ready for a drive later, hopefully no suicidal deer make an appearance this time 😆

Mine is also getting a bumper job today. But putting on a spare unpainted one because my insurance repair is scheduled for 19th Feb, just to be able to drive it until then.

In a sequence of events too complicated (boring) to explain, I ended up taking the car for a bit of a play in the south Lake district.

Gyp's Top Tip - don't drive Hardknot and Wrynose passes after dark. It's not big, it's not clever and it's not particularly fun.

Rally lights would have helped. as would getting there 3 hours earlier like I'd originally planned to.

Really loved blatting about around North Yorkshire over the weekend though. Gorgeous and far better suited to enjoying the Yaris than Gloucestershire.

Follow up to the last post. It's amazing how the phone's "night shot" mode manages to make it look light. This was 20 minutes after sunset.

Yeah it starts getting rather sketchy when your headlamps are pointing up into the sky and you need to see the road, and more importantly, rocks and boulders!

I took a photo of it. :geek:

First ride in four weeks because winter is taking a break here.
These PS4s are amazing at three degrees above zero and magical when it's wet. Very predictable. As soon as there's a grain of salt on the road again, the car stays in the garage.

Christmas has definitly come early for me :)

Picked up my Tom's Wing earlier today from Ian Taylor in Horley who did an amazing job prepping & painting it.

My new Evo Corse MonteCorse's turned up last week thanks to Ben @StringTheoryGarage and just need to be ceramic coated before they go on. Not that I have much hope keeping these bad boys white for long if ever 🤣

Hoping to get these all fitted soon via my friend Ed at Divine Detail. If only he would stop working on Range Rover's which have been down too many narrow lanes & hedges 🤣

So firstly, new wheels in Rally white becuase I like cleaning.

I opted for the Michelin Cross Climate 2's as these will be my winter wheels.

Delta Vibes!

Tom's Wing in Gloss Black thanks to Ian Taylor. Not yet fitted, but offered it up and it fits and looks bloody amazing.

& finally the Tom's Vent which is going to finnish off the "derriere!"

Going to keep this in Matt Black as I think it looks fine like it is & will compliemnt my Kaylan Rally Flapz just fine thank you very much.

That's interesting are PS4s winter compliant in Germany? I didn't think they were.

They aren't. However it's up to you to make sure that you've made a reasonable choice in tyres for the given conditions. If you crash at 3°C and the insurance company notices that you're running summer tyres you're fcked.
As long as there isn't a snow outbreak or you get into some type of crash nobody will give you a hard time about running summer tyres during winter.
I personally wouldn't though.

Oh it was just curiousity as we don't have anything like that over here In the UK.

(y)for the Cross Climate 2's - found them to be a great match to the GRY, lots of fun!
