Cool if you didn’t get a ticket….Police just moved over to let me pass them. Was on a former Hillclimb Racetrack which is now a public road.![]()
And added the Delrin shifter cage bushings.Installed shifter bushings.
I wish I had the time to do thatRemoved the wheels and cleaned around under the wheel arches, suspension and anything else I could reach.
One of the many benefits of being retired.I wish I had the time to do that
Denser air and added resistance could indeed have confused the ecu with more boost lower in the rev range indeed. Also got what felt like the first ever boost cut. Maybe the markedly colder air up over a hill caught it out?
Started having similar issue few weeks ago around 5200rpm, any idea how to solve with stock ecu? Running forge inlet pipe also.Me again. Redid my JB4 mapping as car wasn't entirely happy after adding the Forge turbo intake and the Ulter exhaust with hesitations and lots of throttle closures. Still not increasing peak torque boost, but adding some boost* higher up made the car happier, runs really nice now and the persistent throttle closures around 5,5k are almost completely gone. I am amazed how sensitive this car is, it really reacts on +-0,05bar changes.
*probably it was reaching boost too easily, closing throttle, meaning ECU couldn't keep the WG open enough, so now probably returned it to where the WG is happy = not really adding work to turbo, just putting it back to where it was from the start before hardware mods. i.e. OEM+
- ECU reset and hope it learns the new set-up, also giving it some throttle just *before* it lets go of boost limitation from cold (seems to be two different maps (cold/hot) that infuence each other in boost scaling?)Started having similar issue few weeks ago around 5200rpm, any idea how to solve with stock ecu? Running forge inlet pipe also.
Log out while you still can!Got up a little earlier so I could drive the GR Yaris into work but take the looong way and get coffee etc...
Still a lovely, fun car to drive although I need a full aftermarket torque mount to cure my symptoms of the standard one failing...Not just some inserts so it seems...
I was trying not to mod this car but it will start with a Torque mount, then braided brake lines and then i'll cave entirely and get Recaro CS seats LOL
Extreme jump not a slippery slope!

PETG, afaik better suited materials have to be printed in closed chamber printers which makes them very expensive.it really did! Which material used to print?
Hate it to be right sometimes...PETG, afaik better suited materials have to be printed in closed chamber printers which makes them very expensive.
