GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

Installed shifter bushings.
And added the Delrin shifter cage bushings.

Looks quite dramatic but realtively easy job if done before. Driving normally barely noticeable, when speeding up shifts it feels more distinct.

With the cable end bushing, my 25mm raised base, 35mm longer shifter and shortshift fore-aft, shift now feels very clear both in separation of the gates and in feeling if the box is liking my shift speed. And higher but not too high knob. Nice...

Me again. Redid my JB4 mapping as car wasn't entirely happy after adding the Forge turbo intake and the Ulter exhaust with hesitations and lots of throttle closures. Still not increasing peak torque boost, but adding some boost* higher up made the car happier, runs really nice now and the persistent throttle closures around 5,5k are almost completely gone. I am amazed how sensitive this car is, it really reacts on +-0,05bar changes.

*probably it was reaching boost too easily, closing throttle, meaning ECU couldn't keep the WG open enough, so now probably returned it to where the WG is happy = not really adding work to turbo, just putting it back to where it was from the start before hardware mods. i.e. OEM+

Bought some interior cleaner, noticed that the door cards seem to really collect grime on this car.

Also finally got my garage back now so I can clean the car properly this weekend.

And also also got a friendly unpleasant letter from the DVLA saying they'd like me to pay some tax now.

Booked it in to get its winter boots fitted after another summer of resolutely managing not to buy another set of wheels.

Also got what felt like the first ever boost cut. Maybe the markedly colder air up over a hill caught it out?

Denser air and added resistance could indeed have confused the ecu with more boost lower in the rev range indeed.

Started having similar issue few weeks ago around 5200rpm, any idea how to solve with stock ecu? Running forge inlet pipe also.

- ECU reset and hope it learns the new set-up, also giving it some throttle just *before* it lets go of boost limitation from cold (seems to be two different maps (cold/hot) that infuence each other in boost scaling?)
- Live with it - car still works and will still perform better, throttle closures not end of world, just not 100% smooth or...
- if problem really persists/annoys, log car and check MAP and post IC/pre-throttle boost, and throttle and actually verify if car is a bit unhappy there and if so, either
- remove said part, only so much hardware one can put on car before stock mapping becomes sub-optimal (sensible/cheap option) or...
- ... ecu manipulation/remapping with a JB4 / custom remap / Syvecs/Motec (slippery slope....can optimise in infinity)

Something like that...

Got up a little earlier so I could drive the GR Yaris into work but take the looong way and get coffee etc...
Still a lovely, fun car to drive although I need a full aftermarket torque mount to cure my symptoms of the standard one failing... o_O Not just some inserts so it seems... I was trying not to mod this car but it will start with a Torque mount, then braided brake lines and then i'll cave entirely and get Recaro CS seats LOL :ROFLMAO: Extreme jump not a slippery slope!

Log out while you still can!

Did an alignment the other day, to get ready for my first track day - Grobnik 21-9. Reduced rear toe out to zero.

Picked up 2 extra sets of lens for DD fog lights, both white (running yellow now), but one set is Fog, other Combo - mixing high beam assist and fog lens.

Eventuri finally arrived, just in time, my 3d printed intake had melted 🫠
