GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

Ordered and picked up some new Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 on discount as it looks like my car will be turning up in the winter and winter tyres are mandatory here.

Post a vid of pet hate of mine

0:00 driving the limit
0:01-02 that would be the proper following distance
0:11 waaaaay too close buddy!
0:14 both hands in the air - take a hint on why I slow down a little (and speed limit coming up ahead anyhow)
0:20 no hint - well bye bye (exhaust sound anyone?)
0:30 not such a big hurry anymore?
0:33 letting him pass and hoping, probably in vain, he understands what just happened and what to do so it stops

You should try driving in Estonia, it’s aggressive here.. I like escaping to the tranquil roads of Finland now and again 😀

0:14 in Zagreb, you'd have a Dacia taxi trying to squeeze in between 🤣

How is the accident rate? In Sweden most drivers are asleep in their lane, too close so lots of head tail accidents but usually not many injured or dead. This one took a price though, haven't had anyone that close in ages.

Exactly the same as here..! Lots of undertaking and general craziness.

At the 1st day of a trip over the Alps, I have introduced the little one to a fine strip of tarmac today: the road Flüelapass - Ofenpass - Stelviopass is just magic. Met a guy from the States who picked up his GT4 in Stuttgart and is driving it in around here before going to the Ring. That’s how it’s done… 😎

Bugger!

Annoyingly - no thanks to Google Maps - I genuinely thought I was in a 40 zone and was glancing confidently down at the speedo when the camera flashed. The speedo must over-read quite a lot, which is a good thing I guess.

Hopefully I'll get an awareness course rather than points 🤞
I has this last year. Honestly through the road was a 40 (had been the last time I drove it) but turns out it’s been dropped to a 30 a few months before. Confidently crused past the police at 39, got the letter a few days later 🙈.

Continued our trip over the alps. There was less traffic today, but still a lot of cyclists. Highlight of the day:
I once had to apply the horn. It was the 1st time my wife heard it. She had her eyes wide open and said:“How can a machine like this have a horn like that???“ and laughed her pants off - „literally“….
The conclusion is: she wants to drive it now but is waiting until I get an additional (cheaper) set of wheels. She has a proven track record to scratch them when driving a car for the first time…🤞

Spent a morning with fellow GRY owners. Went for a 100+km drive through some nice roads, but quite a few sections were without tarmac, so took it extra carefully.

I mean, I don't even know if I would be able to come along, but I can keep on dreaming and more posts like yours means more dreaming for me 😊

Took a BMW friend for a drive on what is locally referred to "little ring" as the road with undulations reminds a bit of the green hell. He was impressed by how fun the car was and also the relaxed composure of the driver despite the pace at time (thanks ☺️) and lastly that he didn't throw up the surströmming he ate for lunch, I share that last sentiment wholeheartedly 😬

When the road is right even grippy asphalt is big fun 😍

Not without going back and checking the route, but we did 6 in one day (Klaussen, Susten, Grimsell, Furka, Gotthard & Nufenen)
I was just reading trough the Thread. Route well chosen! Top trip!
