GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

I’ll start off, although was actually yesterday... Gave my Yaris a long overdue wash and brought out the big guns for some Japanese-themed heavy-duty winter paint protection. One coat of Fusso, topped with a coat of Kiwami. H2Go on the glass, and C2V3 on the roof. Already picked up a couple of stone chips on the bonnet and bumper, but could have been worse after hitting a small branch on the motorway the other day.

Received a message from the panel beater saying parts were on order for the front bumper and undertray repair.
 
Blimey, damaged cars and damaged owners. Wishing speedy recoveries to both :)

Fitted the Whifbitz titanium GPF back onto the car today. Had everything on the scales at just over 7kg, the pic above is the weight of the rear silencer. Glad I went for the plain tips than the blue, they were feather light.

Photo of underneath the car was when it was all loose on before anyone starts picking holes in the positions of the clamps and bolts! Spent more time getting everything straight and level than anything else!

I'd prefer something with less slip joints and mandrel bent, but for the money (Black Friday sale) it was about 35% of the price of the JCR system and cheaper than many stainless steel systems out there. Had a quick blast home and I can confirm the noise is lovely (will upload some videos when I have someone to help) and the rear silencer does an excellent job of keeping drone out of the cabin.
 
Took it for its first service......4400 Miles, asked them to drop the gearbox oil and transfer box etc but they clearly didnt get the memo, was hoping GB oil would get rid of some of the clunkiness at least so its going back in next week for those doing. Obvs mixed bag of responses on the other site re the need to do these as not part of service so early in its life but figured no harm to see if it actually helps improve things ?!
 
Today I swapped my MFF mudflaps for some MFF mudflaps… 🙃 It was a much nicer job when the car was new and clean… Also swapped the wipers for some Bosch Aerotwins, am interested to see how they do.

Took mine in for it's 6,000 miles service and the safety check.

Would have been £190, but supplied my own oil and it was £138 instead. Took out to Vertu Leicester, where I bought my car, although it was Farmer & Carlisle then.

Anyway, they were pleasant, nothing wrong with the car, and when I dropped it off they asked if I wanted them to clean it. He said some people with the same car aren't keen on anyone touching it, so he thought he'd ask! 🤣

Got so the paperwork, but nothing showing in MyToyota yet - guessing it might take a bit of time?

seems like you're putting the miles on it. good to see.
 
Yesterday... fitted the rear lsd, same spec as a Rallye / circuit pack. Old oil was black with clutch dust. Might have to do the oil change more often, still felt OK but dirty. Oh and braided lines and the callipers now be red. In a week or so they will get stickered. Pics then.
