GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

Nice to see my old thread survive and make it onto the new site😂

Today I tested my new makeshift underside chassis cleaner, I decided I didn’t want to coat the underside and went the route of regular cleaning of the underside to remove salt and crap before it gets chance to cause some rot. I tested it on the old dog car first then done the Yaris. I’ve been using salt-away for underside washing but now feeding my jet wash with it so can blast it under pressure, I’m happy with this set up no jacking up, no lying on the ground just a quick 5 min set up and blast then done. This stuff keeps boats, trailers and marine engines used in salt water pristine so should be good enough for the salt under the car.

It would be cheaper to buy the parts made up mate there’s loads online they are 1/4 quick connects which I had to cross over to Nilfisk to use with my jetwash. Just had to make sure they were all pressure rated

How is the nilfisk pressure washer, I was thinking of replacing my 10year old karcher with one?

Nice. Might cobble one of those together myself.

As for Nilfisk, I got one to replace an ancient Kärcher (seriously, it was over 20 years old) and it's been great, but it's only 2 years old itself so has a long way to go to equal its predecessor!

Although mine was great, I was put off getting another Kärcher because general opinion is that their overall quality has gone downhill over time. no idea how true that is, mind.

I’ve only ever had Nilfisk mate this is my second one because the first broke the second day I had it but the replacement has been spot on for few years now. There doesn’t seem to be as many attachments as the other manufacturers but nothing that can’t be crossed over I suppose

Definitely worth making one mate gotta keep that underside clean 😂 I’m gonna start blasting surfex HD through the jetwash then clean that off with pure water then finish with salt away soon

Finally got around to test fitting the wheels I bought months ago, 9 turns by hand with the Advan nuts so maybe 10 cranked. Just need to put them all together now!

Took off the gloss red mud flaps that were doing my head in, put satin black ones on, then realised rallyflapz had sent the wrong fittings for the front - so that’s only half a job completed.

Gave the oem wheels a wash and the washers for the oem nuts had furred up a bit over winter so I’m not sure what to soak them in given they’re painted….?

Also took a video of cold start-up with the new Whifbitz GPF back but not sure how to upload that on here?

Did you take the video on your phone? If so, you should be able to attach a file, as if you were going to attach a photo. Although I have noticed error messages when trying to upload pics over a certain size, so not 100% sureythat it will work 🤔

I did, but seems the forum can only support photo uploads for now. I don't have a YouTube account or similar to upload to.
