GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

Took it to get its summer boots fitted, including two new PS4S for the rear.

The difference really is astounding. So much more direct than the Conti winters, obvious from the first corner, even in the wet conditions today.

So car is back from dealers and this morning some red fluid is pissing out the bottom front and back and the car won't move.

Waiting for recovery truck.
Oh, that’s not good. Hopefully a simple fix.

Dealer has some explaining to do though.

I did consider doing a fake screenshot from Autocar or something showing the release of the GR Yaris Evo with lower seats, smaller mirror and built-in g-meter, lap timer, data logging etc., but I ran out of time at work on Friday :D

Spent a bit of time trying to work out how to get to the horn. I think do what I want to, I'm going to need to remove the bumper... That plastic piece to funnel air into the cooling seems to wrap around so much stuff there doesn't seem to be a way to get horn, or put anything back there.

I have an idea here anyway, still waiting to see if I can get the thing I want for it though... But got a couple of irons in the fire.

Oh and I dropped a f'ing pop rivet somewhere so I need to find a replacement now.

Went for a short morning drive, and booked a full service and gearbox, transfer and diff oil changes at RRG Macclesfield cos as usual the local dealers are all being abit rubbish in responding, 3 callbacks promised 0 recieved.

2hr+ drive next saturday but at least I know it'll be in safe hands, will be getting the train into Manchester with the better half to tick the Hawksmoor there off the list.

Picked it up yesterday after 22 days. Work done:
- new transfer oil
- new gearbox oil
- fixed bumper and repainted
- undertray back on / skid plate off
- ITCC vent installed
- Cusco throttle pedal installed - pedal dance much improved
- IC Water Spray retrofit complete (wanted to take the electrician for a drive, but he kindly declined, reminding me he was a passenger in Nevera on more occasions)
- ESE and ANC off - impressive how these two kept car too loud inside - should have done it ages ago!

Yesterday, but drove from Anglesey through North /Mid Wales / Wiltshire / Dorset & Home

Changed to summer wheels occasion for some basic maintenance stuff:
- Changed engine oil (inbetween regular service)
- Changed air filter (done approx 10k)

- Adjusted drums rear handbrake
- Observing I'm wearing summer rears faster then fronts, driving in Track only. Might be related to previous point.
- Weighed summers 17,45kg same for each (good sign), good weight with 9" wide rim* and 235 wide Asymmetric 6 which apparently have longest wear life despite only coming with ~6,5mm from factory.
- If I get tired of grip driving, have eyes set on Valino tw420 drift tyres which are now available here, any experience for road use?
