GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

I don't find the adaptive to be much problem on the motorway, just set it to whatever speed you want and then make sure to reign the follow distance right in. By default it sets it to about 400 cars back, or something similar to that so it'll always find someone to get stuck behind but if you give it the short follow distance and just change lanes reasonably it's just fine and you'll spend most of your time at the speed you want to be rather than stuck behind 50mph'ers

Wouldn't use it around a town though but imo fine for motorway.

this is really bizarre as none of those issues appear on my car, I'm finding the radar cruise to be smooth in all conditions speeding up or slowing down when tracking other vehicles
Same here, I’ve no complaints, I just change it to 1 bar following distance. Only thing I’d like would be for it to accelerate faster when the space opens up again.

tend to run 2 bars on motorway and set cruise to 83 which seems to go from 60 following middle lane vehicles to 83 in outside lane pretty quick

Have you got other cars with radar cruise?

the hard braking when you overtake too close to the car in front or if a car pulls infront of you is really annoying. Even on one bar.

You can override the cruise temporarily with the accelerator, it will then return to the set speed.

You can use this to drive right up the arse of the car that has made the terrible mistake of using your progress lane for an overtake, accompanied by lots of headlight flashing.

I believe the radar cruise on an Audi comes with this feature as standard.

I believe the Audi comes in 1cm, 2cm and 3cm settings for radar range

In other news, the A4069 is getting average speed cameras.
I wince every time I see a Pistonheads thread about good driving roads in ________ and it’s somewhere near me or my parents. It was
only a matter of time for that road I guess.

Noticed that this has somehow managed to transpire

I’m case it’s not clear from the photo, the centre cap is cracked. I assume from an impact, but it’s an odd place for it to happened.

If it’s a stone then I’m glad it’s that which took the brunt rather than a spoke!

Anyone know the part number?

Took it for it's 2 year service. Apparently pollen filter will get replaced every 2 years 12k miles.

Yeah I thought it were a bit odd when I looked into it.
Maybe they got it the wrong way round 🤷‍♂️🥴
I’d of thought air every 2 and pollen every 4.

I’m no expert though obviously 🙄 🤔
Just change the air filter more often yourself if you think it is too long or you drive in dusty/dirty circumstances or want the last hp. On some 'normal' cars the change interval is like 6 years and 60k miles ;)

It's £50 I'm just going to chuck one in every two years no matter.

-edit-

£32 actually on Fensport

Washed it
Went for a sunny drive
Got attention from small kids walking by, them wondering why it has so wide fenders
Got excited that it is soon summer, and it will be some quality time with GR on twisty roads. Car feels like its now in its sweetspot.
