I resemble that! We didn't even have electrons in our power cables. Mobile phones were aways off and when they arrived they were the size of two house bricks and only a little heavier. Remember getting A0 sized drawings faxed to site so we could photocopy and tape them together to let work progress. I'm from the era when I'd send an air mail letter to the US to tell them to expect the email I'd sent the day before. The letter would typically arrive 2 or 3 days before the email.Sounds like some of you lot it might be before the dawn of the Internet
...and a search could take literally weeks to deliver a result.
But we could lap in valves, set points and adjust carbs as they were key skills passed down from father to son with no need for fancy computers.
My son is an automotive engineer and designs exquisite and expensive motorcycles for a living. What he can do in CAD sat in his living room astonishes me, but every time he lifts a spanner it terrifies me!

Yes we are of those to have witnessed the birth of internet and all that came and keeps coming related to that !

Bought a milltec resonated exhaust for the circuit pack. Looking forward to fitting.
It's a nice bit of kit, not the loudest, but that's exactly why I bought it.
I turned off both ANC and ESE after fitting though.

Gave it a well deserved bath
Note: probably 4th time using gas station self wash, now one of my most hated stuff. Never works as it should, just takes your money away. Not used to those.
Already bought soap, towels and other stuff so I just need to use water from the station...

Drove via one national (2023) rally stage on our way to visit relatives - its certainly most fun stuff with GR! 1m snowbanks gave nice rally vibes..

Got the UK brochure for the MK1 in the mail today. As far as I know a Norwegian version of this doesn't exist, and it was never given out here at any point. Just a nice little collectible:

Recce roads. Bigger road is more fun now as snowbanks block visibility for safe driving and loose snow causes occasional grip issues.
