GR86 What cars are most like the GR86?

There was a mugen civic and it was class.

I might be misremembering some or all of this: Wasn't there some sort of saloon civic or possibly saloon Integra type r, imported, proper hardcore thing about 15-20 years ago? In my head it was only available in white and I think blue, something to do with Litchfield?

Probably a FD2 Type R. Pretty sure you could only import them, although I'm not a Honda nut so not sure.

Love an FD2, standard suspension setup on them is unforgiving but when set up for uk roads they’re amazing. A mate of mine had one and loved it but they need to be garaged over winter or peroperly under sealed imo, I went to view one that looked great on the surface but had a fair few patches of rust on closer inspection.

I can say as a former 2019 Type R owner that the GR86 is not even remotely similar in any way.

There really aren’t many cars from my era and where I’m from to compare.

The only car that I can think of is the Honda S2000. I’m sure there are older, especially European and Japanese, cars that are similar.
