GR86 Waiting List how to

Hi all! This is in the hypothetical event of a new batch but also personal curiosity...
The waiting list has been mentioned a few times but I don't know where this would have been signed up to.
I had previously been in touch with Jemca Bromley (who tbh didn't seem super knowledgeable about the GR and were pushing me to a GT) but I asked them about a waiting list and they said there wasn't one.

Was this waiting list on a dealer by dealer basis or what? And is there still one or is it dead now that the batch has fully been released?

There was talk of a waiting list for those that missed 20 April 90 minute sale. The waiting list was a vague thing deaigned that should any of the buyers drop out then they “might” have a chance.

Sadly that boat has sailed, and the 2nd possible batch beyond the initial allocation is still in day dream mode.

You should talk to TUK and see if they are ok with adding you to a list of prospects, should more cars come along.
 
If I remember right there was a link on the Toyota website to join a waiting list. And then they removed it. Only Toyota will know if the list still exists should any more cars arrive.
 
I believe that the waiting list reached a point that they considered it full. Full as in to supply cancelled orders to new customers, or full enough to supply another batch would just be speculation. But they do have a list already.

After the initial stock sold out Toyota had a facility on their GR86 page to add your details to a waiting list, but just checking now they no longer show the GR86 or the GR Yaris in the sports cars category. As said by @Chris Mc your only option is to call TUK and see if the list is still in operation.
 
I don't have my car yet, but I might be selling it. Drop me a PM if you want to talk about it. It's not yet in build and it's been specced in as manual red. I had an email this morning which suggests that it will soon be in build.
 
The problem with the demos is you know the dealer is going to want 4-5k over MSRP for something that has been ragged from cold it's whole life. Plus there's probably a few people per demo who've already asked to buy it once it's available anyway.
