Sorry for not setting up a twitch stream for the drive home.

Handover was really simple, just had to fill out a digital form about the pdi and agree everything was fine. They gave me the Issho toy, a gazroo racing hat and a nice bamboo box for the keys.

The drive home was great was very cautious as I got pulled out twice on roundabouts. But still managed to have fun.

Still pinching myself it is here. It is nice to be potentially a little part of the cars history in the UK. I’m sure someone else who is not on the forum must have also got it this weekend.

I never got an email to tell me it was in build, I just logged in speculatively and saw it was in build.
 
I've just had the email asking for payment, according to the app my car is still in transit to Derbyshire as it has been for last 2 weeks?
Don't know about anyone else but I would like some idea of delivery date before I hand over 30k🤨

I got the email requesting payment, responded to Online team asking for when my car was due to arrive at dealer prior to sending cash and they confirmed 9th Dec. Based on this I sent payment.
I know this will shock and stun you but the 9th Dec came and went and there was no car :mad:, to make matters worse I also sold my current vehicle in preparation for the GR arriving :poop::poop:. Online team now unable to confirm when the car may arrive and advise me 'to keep checking the status on MyT'....... what a fun game this is :ROFLMAO::LOL:

How frustrating. I won’t be selling my current car until my dealer shows me a photo of the car at the dealership (tin of custard optional).

Well, they give you every indication it's safe to do so.

My experience;
First to be dispatched email, immediate 3day insurance request.
Call the team who advises im looking to be the first week in December.
Week later speak again and definitely in the 2nd week of December.
Now i asked for an update and im still waiting PDI in Derby.

Sold my car a lot earlier than I should have, was borrowing a family member's car but those good graces haveexpired. Now im gonna need to rent over christmas. Waiting on a call back from them.
 
Seems a lot have sold when they shouldn't have. I had an offer after the boat landed with mine and I nearly did but knew Winter was coming so was skeptical and didn't want to ride through winter so held off. The part ex figure is more than this too which helps. I know there was precedent for Toyota giving loan cars. No hint of that on my call today though as I really need something I know will get me to where I need to go over Christmas. Guess I'll just have to risk it or pay £50 a day to rent something.
 
As an update to my post at 12.09 above in build email arrived this afternoon.

Hi the exact same thing happened to me I was given a dat of 15/11 by the online team and then contacted
By the dealer to confirm so I sold my BMW. Then then a few
Weeks later they said they don’t know why they told me that as the car will be end of the year no apology nothing. After the generic demo email I made a complaint and they told me it would be week commencing 12/12. I then paid in full and the dealer contacted me and delivery to them was after the 19 so delivery would be 23/24 so asked for January registration and handover 06/01. I will believe it when I see it .
When I tell other people I am sure they think I am making it up 😵‍💫
