You would think so wouldn't you? I have had more near misses in mine per mile driven than any other car. The two worst were both taxi drivers just pulling straight out in front of me, I wasn't even going much above 30mph, thankfully! I have taken to leaving dipped mains on all the time now and still one of the taxi drivers couldn't see me from 30 yards!

I blew out the blue.

Why would anyone want to give the boys in blue an optical head start…

1447 GR86s on the road plus 41 SORN
Grand Total of 1488 registered in UK
That's still quite a small number.

Add I recall that compares to something like 7,000 GT86s.

For further comparison in the UK, Porsche sold 3,600 993s and Volkswagen sold 10,000 Corrados.

Not many at all, is it? 5% manual/auto ratio. When I’ve got the time, I’ll probably compare the figures to the comparison cars, MX5s/boxsters etc

Ok, I was bored so just did it for all Caymans 5583 autos, 7399 in total, 75% auto/manual ratio. I’m not reading into it too much as I know they are different cars/price points etc… but massively more sold and the the gearbox choice is interesting for the different “driving” platform
