They are not listed in their webshop yet. There is only a short blog post about the sensors. If you are interested you can try to contact them via [email protected]
The set costs 269€ (incl. 19% VAT). I don't know if they ship to UK.
One important thing for a good result is the drilling of the hole. They also offer a special drill for the holes but no idea what it costs in addition.

It isn't on my config summary either, but TOL gave me my VIN, which allowed me to look up the spec (even though it's 'standard').

I have taken the 'parking support RCTA' as the rear cross traffic assist - I asked for confirmation from TOL to be met with a roaring silence (I don't think they know, but are prepared to make an occasional guess).

Let's hope we get RCTA and BSM, when I spoke to TOL they said I wouldn't be getting it, but they didnt sound too convincing.

TOL should be able to give you your VIN to look up the spec.

Mine has just passed Sardinia so I guess is one of the 'later' ones. The spec seems to be the same as the early release, apart from parking sensors and auto dim rear view.

Mine definitely has BSM on the spec sheet (one of the reasons for downloading it, just in case...)

Has anyone had the front ones retrofitted? I feel like the camera does enough of a job in the rear, but I'd like some on the front.

Happy to be corrected but I believe rear sensors are not FOC on the 2nd batch. But accessories wise yes, speak to TOL, they add to your oder, send you an updated Invoice and let your preferred dealer know to get whatever it is in stock ready for delivery, in my case mudflaps

I agree. With the second batch they released an FAQ and it stated there are no rear sensors on manual cars as standard and they wouldn’t be a FOC option.

It's not integrated with the head unit, so you don't get any visual cues for how close you are to an object when reversing. The sound alert appears to be only coming from one side as well, but that may be either my hearing or an incorrect installation by the dealer.

Of course the car comes with the reverse camera and rear cross traffic alert, which work well enough in most situations (especially when you upgrade the reverse lights to LEDs).

I believe the unit is fitted to one side of the vehicle so the sound will be off-centre. If you were hoping it would be directional depending on which sensor is triggered then I don't think it works like that.

Mine is a first batch car, collected in Jan ‘23 (which I think makes it a first batch?) I’ve just only now gotten around to seeing this discussion!

My retrofitted sensors have stopped working. They don't beep as you get close to objects.
Took it in for a check and in turns out the exhaust melted part of the wiring and they don't have any replacements.
Fear not, apparently they'll get some in 6 days but I also need my USB ports changed as they have several times died when having two devices connected.

I now use the 12V socket for one device and one USB port for another but still, better to have them replaced now I guess. But the parts take a month or more to get here

Oh no, that's a poor install, hope it's an isolated problem. Will need to keep an eye on mine.

Just a quick question about the sensors on the corners of the bumpers. Are the sensor holders (i.e. that the sensors 'sit in) round in shape? I ask because they look oval in the picture, but that may just be the angle. Thanks.

I had mine done today. In short, the rear bumper has to come off and there are templates for drilling the holes as well from the inside out plus extensive instructions from Toyota. It took a couple of hours and the sensors work very well.

I know the dealer's tech well and trust him implicitly and the fit & finish is perfect but he said the template isn't the best so easy to get it wrong. The holes for the dealer fit kit are not pre-drilled and the sensors are different than the factory fitted ones on the USA cars but the bumper has the markings on the inside for the factory kit but I actually think they look more pronounced (see the last pic for comparison).

I had originally bought the official kit from the dealer and they painted them before other forum members mentioned about Toyota's good will of paying for them. I sent TOL an email last week and they agreed to refund me the cost without any hesitation so fair play.

Just a quick question about the positioning of the sensors. The 'inner' factory fitted sensors on the automatics are positioned above the number plate whereas most dealer fitted inner sensors are located to the side of the number plate. With regard to the templates that come with the kit, were there any templates for positioning the inner sensors above the number plate? Thanks.

Thanks very much for that. It was the auto sensors I was wondering about though - the reason being, I am determined to fit the auto sensors to my manual car (one way or another ) as they look a 'cleaner' fit.

I agree that's why I've not fitted those.
The auto sensors should integrate into the vehicle systems, but I expect it would need some configuration changes (sound from the direction of obstacles and through the speakers)if the functionality is inside a module already on the vehicle, otherwise it will need an additional park aid module

I contacted Toyota to ask if there was any way of retro fitting the factory reverse sensors. Unsurprisingly, they said no but couldn't detail why they took the view that it couldn't be done. Bearing in mind the debacle over the alarm when it took them months to investigate whether it had one or not, I don't have much confidence in their response here either. I have managed to identify the following parts that the automatic has that the manual car doesn't. I suspect this isn't the complete list though (?) and am still no closer to getting a definitive answer as to whether it can be don or not - and if not, exactly why - might try Subaru next....

I just emailed Subaru (Japan) - determined to get to the bottom of this and get some kind of reasoned definitive response.
