As we hope the Zoo will by default become the GR86 Owners Group it will be useful to create a GR86 timeline for posterity, memories fade quickly and many folk are hoping their GR86 will be a “keeper”.

This is something everyone can contribute to and add to as we go along. One important point is to keep it factual and where possible provide supporting links to documents etc.

Here is a starting point but needs dates checking/adding , links including etc.

Spain was 25th May
First press car was here around 28th May but DVLA didn't register them until 6th June

Thanks @Swizzle , is that when the Rogue/Early Bird link went live? I seem to recall someone saying it was first posted on Piston Heads then reposted here 🤔 I also recall it was “live” for several days 🤔

I think it all started with the configurator going live early, if you saved your choices and created an account you could then purchase, I thought it was only open for 2 or 3 days at the most

That was my recollection too , I can’t remember who posted it here first 🤷‍♂️
 
Did the 'early order' link appear on here or Pistonheads first? I wasn't a member on here back then and have never posted on PH, but I do recall seeing some kerfuffle on there regarding a link to a configurator the weekend before orders went live I think it was.
 
I found it first on PH. It went live on 9th April and I ordered then, no pre-saved builds or anything like that.

Just chose manual, pearl white, cash purchase, nominated dealer, £250 on credit card. Done.

Confirmation email came through in Euros originally :ROFLMAO: ORCA was confirmed on 20th at 9.15am and I posted the same link to the configurator here on that day.
 
The timeline is filling up , needs “fact checking” so the more 👀the better 👍. Does anyone have copies of the Toyota emails which were sent to folk who had expressed an interest in the GR86 about how to place an order ? I deleted mine once I had placed the order. 🤔

Looking like 9th April is first report of the configurator going live 🤔 @Delahorney also posted about it the same day , so not sure who got there first , unless anyone has better info we will Claim it for the Zoo 👍😂

Do we know how many early birds we have on the forum 🤔
