Call just received here. Confirming everything others have said previously around late august / early september etc etc.
Manually working through orders and putting them on the system, of which there were 'around the 400 mark' in his words.
Asked whether anything in particular was driving lead times (i.e. order that we ordered in on Wednesday or colour /transmission) and the response was 'each of the 5 or 6 I've loaded today have all said late august / early September but this could easily move',
As a 10:06 i've no idea what the order for them loading them and calling customers is being driven by

So this afternoon they have processed 10.05 to 10.06...
And I thought I was quick off the mark at 10.11! Looks like my call won't happen until next week now...

10:07 same here. Even had finance approved too and deposit taken.
If it's 400, does that figure include the demos? How many dealers will even get demos?

My dealer (Beadles Gillingham) is listed as a "GR Centre", I believe. I'm guessing they will, at least?
I mean if its sold out with a waiting list already - you question whether if its in Toyota’s interests to bother with demos?
(Obviously appreciate that some on here might want to try before they fully commit and take delivery)

Could be as simple as certain order numbers being assigned to certain staff members, some might be part time or on annual leave and wont even start their calls until next week...
Maybe one of them is spending their time coping off with the supervisor and they are refusing to fulfil any of their order confirmation calls because the supervisor said he's changed his mind and that he won't leave his wife and kids to run away with her and now the supervisor is trying to figure out how to get rid of her and pass her orders on to someone else so that they can provide an efficient service... but now she's kicking off big time and is starting to throw cuddly Issho's all around his office and others are now ignoring their calls to peer over their dividers to see what's going on! So he's starting to think about how he could defuse the situation but his wife is calling at the same time and the picture of his kids is staring back at him from the desk and he feels a little bit of himself die inside and he's starting to become enraged, he can feel himself becoming overcome with murderous intent so he reaches out for his work phone on the desk, raises it above his head then slams it down on the table and proclaims 'Will someone please let this LU71KEE guy know that his order is confirmed because im getting really sick of his meme's popping up all over the bloody internet!'

Just had my welcome call. Ordered confirmed at 10:06. Ordered manual / Red. However he couldn’t give me a delivery estimate. He called it an uncovered order ie there is currently no slot for it. So not too happy as I thought I was quick off the mark.

After the initial GRY dealer order as demos, all the later demos were owned by Toyota GB and loaned to dealers. So for GR86 loan cars to Media test drives in May and will turn up at dealership in June/July for demos.
