GR86 The GR86 “The Orders / Owners List / GR86 Register”

Please be rest assured that if you have Order confirmation e-mail from Toyota UK, you will (and should) get the GR86 despite what the Toyota UK customer call centre staff will want to make you believe. Its clearly shown below on 19th April the reasonable expectation of online customer order confirmation.
If they did actually send more than 400 order confirmations than 400 UK allocations, it's Toyota UK issue and they will fulfill the order bit later in the year, be persistent and insist you require the car as confirmed in order e-mail and keep all communications via e-mail !

Its clearly mentioned.

Was emailing my dealer Toyota Belfast (about getting my original deposit back), and I asked whether they could see my order? Mine was a confirmed order at 10:06 yesterday, and no delivery date message yet.

They said they had mine, but I was the only person from their dealership who managed to get one out of the five who had originally placed holding deposits with them. Seems like the demand for these cars is higher than everyone thought!

Good shout, have emailed my local dealer to see if they have any info their side. I'm more likely to believe anything they're willing to put in writing rather than tell me over the phone!
 
My local dealer says they can see my order and I have a car - but have no further info than that.

I suspect people are worrying about nothing here, although I understand the anxiety.

Toyota will call people when they get to it - that could be anytime and any delay doesn't mean there is a problem.

I think we should all assume we are fine until we hear otherwise :)

It‘s been a busy week and as the CEO is now back home after a week away for work , if I’m on my iPad I’m likely to get all “privileges“ removed, and as I’ve not been for a 🍺 this week, it’s a Moto GP weekend plus IPL something has to give and it’s “The List” 🤣

@AndyRC hi Andy and to everyone, confirmed order 10.17 for 6MT Sapphire Blue. Thanks to you all for the info on this forum as I was also a dealer placed order that was cancelled. West Wales based and will update my location. Can’t wait!
 
Oh yes forgot to mention this from the GRY ordering process. When you ordered your 86 you should have specified the dealer to send the car to.

Establish contact with that dealer and introduce yourself and ask them to see if the car is in the system. If it is you are good to go, if it isn't then it may just take a day or two but they will keep checking for you.

From now on the dealer should be your point of contact and they should be able to get you a test drive in the demo and if you don't like it you can go ahead and cancel.

Wonder if we have the same Berkshire based dealer! Same info just given to me so I'm happy to just wait for Toyota GB to call now and also glad I've made a contact at my local dealer.

He said once the orders are processed a bit further down the line and we have a chassis number allocated we'll start to get more info and it will go in to the MyT app.
 
It's not emissions, it's GSR (General Safety Regulations) that's coming in for 2024, I think it's v3 of the GSR as V2 was introduced in 2020
