GR86 The GR86 “The Orders / Owners List / GR86 Register”

Mine is still in Derby, Toyota Online team said it was expected to be ready for collection today but the logistics of getting it from them to Cheltenham aren't organised by them, so they don't know when it will be moved, which is annoying as it's basically ready bar the dealership's PDI glance over. I now know the registration - I wasn't given the option to pick one myself because - they said I didn't tell them in advance I'd like to have that option, so they just went ahead and registered it. It's just a bog standard registration plate so I'm not too fussed - but if you are and you haven't heard when you're getting your car then you should let them know you want a choice of registrations now, not wait.

Hi @AndyRC , thanks for the reminder!

My 6MT pearl white (no91) was collected on 19/12/22 from Toyota Coventry
Welcome and congratulations, fellow Coventry buyer! By my count (probably wrong!) I think there's six of us from there on this fine site. Hope you are enjoying your car.

Collected at 9am this morning and just got home! Lots of miles and lots and lots of fun.

@AndyRC no86 on the list if you could do the honours. And a big thank you to yourself and this community for all the help along the way.

Oh wow, she’s a stunner 😍🥰

So it's finally arrived, picked it up Friday night in the dark drove it 3 miles home & put it straight in the garage, today is the first chance I've had to look at it, just had my dealer remove the protective covers will be cleaning it myself, was planning to flip it but I'm already getting attached....

Aha mine has moved - today - from Derby to Cheltenham. Just need to know when the PDI will be done and I'll drive it away hopefully soon.....

(I still haven't been invited to test drive a GR86 btw!)

That will be me, picking it up this afternoon!
Hopefully you're enjoying it! I'd appreciate it if you would let me know if there's anything you learned from dealing with Cheltenham that I should be aware of when I go to collect my car? :)

I received an email from Toyota Online today asking for feedback now I have my GR86, about the car - brilliant (but only driven it 3 miles home to my garage don't want to use it in winter) handover - brilliant enthusiastic & knowledgeable.
Online - I didn't give them both barrels but I did point out they'd made a right pig's ear of it & if the car wasn't so good they would have ruined the purchase experience, I suggested they need to make the process much slicker if they want to continue with online sales, it doesn't matter to me it's been my first & last online car purchase!

Handover was very efficient, car features explained well by Aaron and quite straightforward even though it was the first online handover they had done. Car was prepared perfectly, no marks at all and received the bamboo box and a teddy bear. Only had about a quarter tank of fuel but plenty to get me home.
Enjoy yours when you get it, I am down near Cirencester but travel to Cheltenham frequently so may see you on the road.

Happy New Year to everyone in Zoo Company, cars are arriving at a steady rate now and should hopefully continue to do so until the entire U.K. allocation is fulfilled.🤞

As there is A LOT of stuff being posted now we actually have cars to own an talk about keeping track of things is getting more difficult. To try and keep The List as accurate as possible I’ve changed the poll and would ask everyone to update it.

When you take delivery if you can please post on here , mention @AndyRC , the # you are on The List , and the date you took delivery will help A LOT

Thanks folks 👍😎

I've had a change of circumstances (many changes if truth be told!) and so I thought I'd change my colour choice to put me to the back of the queue and give myself breathing room.

I phoned up to do this and was told it could not be done; the reason being that my car was now in the logistics phase of being delivered to the retailer 😪 ... slightly problematic as I've spent most of my deposit on a Smart Bike to go Zwifting with, and try to shift multiple lbs!
