Yours Is a mongoose isn't it mate? They Sound awesome.Watched it and very happy with my custom one for 900 quid cat back
It *should* in theory fail, yes, as it’s an emissions controlling device that’s been removed from a car that had it as standard. Obviously lots of people seem to do it, so I’m assuming it can be got around. I guess you don’t have to MOT it for the first three years, but personally I’d be too paranoid from an insurance point of view.I watched the entire thing despite having ordered an exhaust you weren't testing.
I am a JDM fanboy so I was never really interested in non JDM exhausts. In addition I think slip on systems are cheap and lazy and I wouldn't buy one.
Based on what I watched and heard, I would probably pick the HKS Super Turbo out of those. What the video did make me think about more was the OPF/GPF delete. Someone mentioned legal implications, are we saying that fitting this voids your insurance and wouldn't pass an MOT?
Incidently I have ordered the HKS Hi-Power Spec L system from Tegiwa. I don't think I will get it until April. I guess it's a more light weight version of the Super Turbo system they tested.
If I had to pick a slip on system it would probably actually be the Remus, at least, maybe 10 years ago I would of. I think the noise it makes could be quite entertaining but I might be getting a bit old for that!

Fit with a 'sports cat' and it would pass.It *should* fail, yes, as it’s an emissions controlling device that’s been removed from a car that had it as standard. Why? It’s lacking an OPF and the emission devices have still been manipulated.Fit with a 'sports cat' and it would pass.
Do you have any more info/images of this system? H&S are legends in the old Subaru scene. In fact my STi has an H&S system. No custom made by Hayward and Scott
The Mongoose exhaust is a fantastic piece of kit. Very well made, sounds really nice with absolutely no drone & isn't asbo loud / won't pee off your neighbours. I'd listened to Cobra, C-TEC, Milltek, RS Fabrications and others before deciding on the Mongoose & IMO, it is still one of the best sounding if you want more noise than OEM, without it actually sounding like a rally car.Good video that.
I was set on getting a mongoose as the millteks are too raspy and loud for me. But leaning towards a fujitsubo and gpf delete after watching that.
That's the exact set-up I have. It pulls harder and sounds great under load. You barely notice it when cruising but when you floor it there is a noticeable grumble, suits the car perfectly without looking like you've just come from the parole office...Good video that.

I’m a bit biased because I have a Legamax fitted, but I agree. OEM+, fruity and with a nice deep burble at idle. Then again, I’ve seen people say it should sound like the Miltek Non-Res from factory, so what do I knowLegamax really is what the car should've sounded like from factory.
