GR86 Sold Out!

I wanted the Neptune but missed wave 1 by 5 minutes. Went with magnetite. Saw my first sapphire in person today at Guildford and it is much nicer irl than I expected. I'm sure you're going to love it @Jayware33 👍
Thanks! I had a GT86 Blue Edition previously for a while, loved the colour initially but the obvious paint chips put me off as the contrast was stark between paint and primer. This new Sapphire Blue looks really good! Can’t wait to see it again :-).

Haha nah, I hate football. That is funny though.

Aren’t Man City red? Or is that man united? 😐

Blue for me as I’ve never had a blue car but really liked the change in colour in sunlight. Just thought it was a really interesting colour option.
Your spellchecker isn't working... It's "Man Ushited"

Received this an hour ago - I have my order confirmed though so will ignore as it suggested but looks like it’s official. Wonder what they will do with any cancelled orders.

The online ordering system is still live despite the the statement "No further requests to purchase this model in the UK will be taken after Tuesday 17th October".
You can select any colour!
Covering all bases for cancellations or are there still cars unallocated?

I believe it stops at a certain point - the dealer selection. So you can only get so far I think.

EDIT: just checked and it does indeed appear you can send your £1,000 deposit. But this doesn’t mean you have a car, this means Toyota will validate and check a car is available and then send you a link to complete the purchase which is the part that may now not be available. So you can only make a request it appears, I’d imagine that request to be unfulfilled based on the fact they’re sold out. But we’ve heard similar before, who knows.

I suspect they want a list of those who may be interested in a cancelled car.

Toyota GR86 online ordering has been updated! "No further requests to purchase this model in the UK will be taken after Tuesday 17th October" is now "No further requests to purchase this model in the UK will be taken after Friday 17th November"
Must have more to shift!

That puts my email from TOL into perspective... I asked them if i'd be able to get another silver car if the bonnet repair next week isn't completed to my satisfaction. They said:

"We are happy to check whether a replacement vehicle would be available however would not be able to confirm at this stage in case more customer orders are received between now and your repair appointment. "

I have been in email communication with TOL and it has been confirmed that I was misinformed, there are cars available and I can reapply.

I asked if I can have another car in the event of any damage at PDI and was told yesterday there are none left. It seems they can’t get their story straight or they don’t know themselves.

There’s a grey 6AT arriving in Bristol today that's now going spare ... someone cancelled theirs 3 days ago  (looks at feet and shuffles uncomfortably).

I would like to drive an AT out of interest, not sure about owning one. Long term, might need one, but it's the wrong leg causing me the jip!!
