GR Yaris Ships in Transit

Hi everyone!
Finally I got the message (whatapp and email) "Left the factory" from Toyota Italy! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
So @ElWayne was totally right (thank you again), my car is on Galveston Highway ship, currently planning to do its first stop in Singapore on this Thursday 30th.
After that, I don't know whether it will go through Suez Canal or around Africa, and then it should move towards Livorno, I guess, before finally going to the UK.
Is there anyone with better tech means than mine who could find a tentative date for this ship to dock in Livorno?
Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

It will soon be with you. Ships carrying cars are still not transitting Suez and going via the cape. Galveston Highway is due in at Bristol on the 2/7/24. So at a guess a week before that, so about 3/4 weeks from now. My ship transited the cape. Euphrates highway left Nagoya on 11/1/24 and was in Livorno on 15/2/24.

Thank you so much @Euge, really helpful.
So I guess it could dock in Livorno on around the 17th of June.
It's even earlier than I was expecting, if everything'd go smoothly, it could be registered by the first few days of July. ๐Ÿ˜€
Really good news, thank you again.

I have to correct myself... I computed the navigation days from the start of production of the car, while I should have done it since the ship left Nagoya on Friday 24th.
Hence, it should get to Livorno around the 26th of June, I guess.
It would be really great to have my car parked in my garage in July, anyway. ๐Ÿ˜„

Hi @Armijs, and welcome!
I'm happy to hear that I my car is in a very good company on Galveston Highway! :D

I see that the ship definitely left Singapore now, and it is not going through Suez Canal.
It's sure a longer wait to us (around a week more, I guess), but at least it reduces by much the risk of undesired incidents in the Canal.

I can't tell how long the ship will take to dock in Livorno after the stop in Sagunto on 27th June, but I guess it should be a matter of 2-3 days.
So, if customs checks proceed smoothly, and if the dealer is quick with setting the car up for delivery, I should be able to picking it up by mid-July, I guess.

Hey ! Thanks !

No clue if my car will make the 19 July ETA, i can only hope. Some ways to still ship from Belgium afterwards, most definetly on a different ship altogether

From Bristol yours will stay on the same ship to Zeebruggee. At zeebruggee it will unload. Then the smaller KESS ships will take your car to Malmรถ, Sweden where it will spend approx 1 week being processed at Toyotas North Europe hub. Then onto another KESS ship which heads for Paldiski, Estonia. Then its will travel by road to Latvia.

Thank you @Euge for the update. I just checked myself as well, and I can already see Galveston Highway among the ships that are expected to dock in Sagunto on the early morning of 27th June.
But I can't see it among the expected ships in Livorno Port list yet, since it doesn't display anything after 23rd June (limits related to my subscription to vesselfinder, I guess).
Would you have any chance to check expected ships on later dates in Livorno? Or did you already have the chance to see how long does it take for a vehicle carrier to cover the trip between Sagunto and Livorno (or the opposite), please?
This could be much helpful to me, since my dealer gave me mid August as due date for the car delivery, but it looks quite too a long wait to me.
So, I'd need to understand if there is some sort of problem looming with the delivery, and what part of the delivery procedure this problem is related to.
Would it be something related to a change of vessel in Sagunto, or just something related to the Italian procedures after the car has been disembarked?
If it would be the latest, I'd need to prepare to check in advance with the dealer and Toyota Italy to know more about the reasons for any possible delay, and to have a chance to sort any problem out beforehand.
Thank you!

Well, maybe it will go to Italy from Spain either on a different ship, which i guess would be logical, or it could also go through land on a car carrier ? I am just guessing though. My last ETA was the last day on July, and that is in the Baltics

From what I see from previous posts, the same ship should dock in Livorno, and then the car should go on a car carrier for quite a relatively short trip to get to the dealer (less than 400 kms).
And if you'll get your car on the last day of July in the Baltics, I should receive my car well before that day, and not in mid August, I guess.
Let's see, and hope that it's just a prudential mistake by my dealer.

I canโ€™t see dates in Livorno my end as Iโ€™m no longer subscribed to any premium shipping trackers. But previously ships either went to sagunto or Livorno before heading for Bristol. Never seen a ship do both before. But looking at the forward movements listed for Bristol it appears to be coming from Livorno, so it looks like itโ€™s doing both ports. Be prepared for extra delays though. My ship was due to be in zeebrugge at a certain date but was a week later when it arrived due to Bristol being busy with a backlog of ships.

Thank you for the precious info! If the ship is expected coming from Livorno to Bristol, it should be a quick thing. No transfer from a ship to another, just docking and disembarking in Livorno, then.
I'm aware that there could be delays, but the two things I'm not getting are the very log delay (about one one month and a half after the car lands in Italy) and the certainty about this very long delay.
With customs and transports there is always some degree of uncertainty, but there is now way to know about a delay before it actually happens.
I still don't get where the dealer's deadline came from... ๐Ÿค”

Well, it has been docked in Spain since early morning, checked the Livorno port incoming till june 30, it was not showing up Galveston Highway on the list, but it might arrive 1. July or something i guess. Just have to wait for it to undock to show up the next destination i suppose. Wait is getting harder as closer it gets ๐Ÿ˜…

You will soon forget all about the waiting when you pick it up from the dealer.. The week mine sat in Paldiski port was the worst bit for me. I kept finding excuses to the wife to make a daily 80km round trip to see if I could see it parked in the port ๐Ÿ˜

Thank you again @Euge and @Armijs!
Actually a few minutes ago I was the saddest man in the world (a bit overreacting, I know...) once I saw that Galveston Highway is now heading to Bristol, with no stop in Livorno.
I guess it is due to a strike in Italian ports for all the next week long.
Italy is always a land plagued by multiple daily strikes, you know...
But right now I received a whatsapp message and email by Toyota: my car is on the car transporter headed to my dealer (among other destinations, I guess).
So it should be a matter of a few days before the car is with my dealer! :D
I also guess customs shouldn't be a problem anymore, since the car is already into the EU territory.
