GR86 Service cost increase?

I dont know why the costs are so high. The 86 has to be the easiest car to service I've ever had. I just won't pay the dealer costs, and I guess I'll have to fight the battle for warranty claims if anything ever goes wrong. That's said, after 3 years of not paying for their servicing I'll likely have saved enough to pay for any fixes myself.

So the 10 year warranty costs

5x intermediate services @£365 = £1825
3x full services @£545 = £1635

Total £3460

Average £346 a year.

It's also includes UK and Europe breakdown I think?

Is that correct?

Mine is on a 9 year service plan which works out at £34.85 pcm. This will cover it for the 10 year warranty. It doesn't include the safety check but does cover MOTs and pick up from my home and delivery. Just booked it in for 4th service and they checked with parts and confirmed correct part number for the correct GF-6, SP 0W-20 engine oil. I am OK with £418 per year till 2030.
I do think £500+ is a lot but I am sure other cars also cost a lot.

Yeah I’m pretty sure that’s what it was when I booked mine at the start of December to be carried out at the start of January.

Feel like I’ve been shafted as my annual service is due right at the start of Jan, so will always hit the price increase.

An increase of £75 is ridiculous.
I had mine serviced on Tuesday and the dealer charged me the old price because I booked the service before the increase.

I'm guessing they realised they could get some money back on servicing after having very "honourably" stuck to low launch price amid post-covid supply chain disruption and the clamour for the 450 cars.

They could have whacked 5k on the sticker price, but didn't.

"Certainly sir, those new wipers you don't need are £650"

They did raise the price of the second batch by £2500 though.

So as well as basic higher servicing prices there is this to contend with ! Would it invalidate your 10 year guranteee if you didn't opt for it ?

Just a reminder of Mondays booking and would like to bring your attention to an additional job that is due on your Cars Air conditioning System.
If you can click on the link below it will explain this to you in detail.

If you require this operation carrying out whilst it’s in for the service, please let the service advisor aware when handing your keys over of your decision.
The additional cost of this is £112.00 inc vat. (This maybe covered under your Service plan agreement).

If your car is in for Service, then a FREE Wheel Alignment CHECK will be carried out and a report supplied to you of the outcome.
Click on the link Below to see how & why this is done.

And this video explains the process if it requires adjustments why it’s so important to have this done at regular maintenance intervals.

The Charge to adjust wheel alignment is £81.00 inc VAT.

Many thanks for using RRG Macclesfield Toyota for all your Vehicle Care requirements

You should get at least 3 years out of your Aircon, without any maintenance.
They change the pollen filter anyway, which is the most important 'maintenance'.

The Aircon job isn’t due on your vehicle at all, otherwise it would be listed in the Service Schedule. What you have there is a case of the dealership promoting their own services as extra income generators. It’s up to you whether you want these ‘addons’, but you can certainly get them done cheaper, either by a mobile aircon specialist or, in the case of tracking, at an alignment centre.
Saying “No thank you” to these dealer options has zero effect on your Warranty.

Sonic is correct.

It is advisable to have the air con system serviced, but I’d suggest this could be stretched beyond two years, especially if it’s regularly used.

Aircon is very much use it or lose it. I don't think I've ever had a regas or service of it in any past cars and was always ice cold. But I used it every day as it's dehumidifies too.
Same. Never turn it off. Did that with my GT86, after 9 years, I sold the car on with the AC still blowing ice cold and having never touched it.
