GR86 Review of aero and vents.

I wonder how much difference there is between this, a BRZ, and the GR86?
 
Interesting that, according to his analysis, those ducktails that look so good will contribute to poorer aero by concentraintg the generated downforce in a smaller region in the centre of the bootlid, and that they might even increase overall lift and drag!
 
Although mainly bought for asethetics and to prevent leaf clutter. It does show where the aero stabiliser cover might have some aerodynamic benefit.
 
This was posted on a US forum too. I wouldnt pay any attention to the CFD in this video. In order to model this with a representative degree of accuracy, the ground should be moving at the same speed as the air and the wheel should be rotating so that the outer circumference of the tyre matches that road speed. Without the wheel rotating, the most influential factors contributing to airflow in that area are missing. Omitting these things from the CFD model this video is at best useless and at worst misleading.
