Do they exist? Anyone tried one? got a recommendation? I’ve got hundreds of cds and really don't feel like paying for music streaming

Why would you need Bluetooth if you just want to play CDs?

If you want to send music from your phone as well, you can get loads of amplifiers with Bluetooth built in.

Just want to play a cd in the car, could be bluetooth, usb, do we have an aux port?

I see what you mean now, I was being a bit slow on the uptake.
There is an AUX port, you'll need a CD player that can be powered by USB, or at least 12v with an adapter. Or a battery powered one, but that would get boring pretty quickly.

I couldn’t find one when i looked before posting this, ive now found one usb powered on amazon for £23 🤦🏻‍♂️

Unless you prefer the physical media and losing discs under the seat etc, it might be worth ripping the cds and have them all on a usb drive, permanently plugged in to the car. The Toyota voice recognition works well to select which track to play too.

This is what I do too.

I’d have to buy a cd drive for my laptop anyway as that doesn’t have one either 🤦🏻‍♂️

Go the whole hog and archive your CD's away in the loft

One you've ripped them all to the above, copy to a USB powered SSD hard drive (fits in the cupholder) and you'd have them all at your finger-tips

(OK, it's a bit over the top . . . )
ooh I like that, have been looking for some kind of cd jukebox for home

I bought a USB DVD / CD drive for my PC, and simple ripped them all in FLAC format (sounds best). stick them on a decent sized USB drive and they are all there at your fingertips, not taking up space, rattling about, and keeping the originals from getting wrecked in the car.

I think you just have to bite the bullet and spend some lonely evenings ripping the CD's to a digital format. £20 for a USB DVD-drive and windows media player will rip it just fine.

Put all the Digital media onto a USB stick and just plug it into the car. Instant music anytime without the faff. USB Memory sticks are so cheap now, just leave one in every car!
