GR86 Personal Plates GR

I checked on the DVLA personal registration site and there are lots of GR prefix 23 and 73 (September reg) plates available at £399 inc transfer fee.

I quite liked GR73BOY, GR73ZZZ, GR73BLU, GR73ART, GR73ALE, GR73BUY but plenty to choose from if you want something personal.

I prefer the dateless (Irish) ones from DVLA. I’ve had about half a dozen from them but thankfully I am down to only 2 retention certificates now; a UKZ and a GRZ, both six digits.

They can be indeed. The six digit ones mostly come in at £399, which is comparable to buying a current registration. Buying an old style (prefix) plate can often work out well but the best ones go quite quickly ...

Thanks for the kind words @Silver Fox . I pop in from time to to see how things are going. If GR66 ZOO doesn’t sell for what I paid it’s most likely to find its way onto our next car , which won’t be as appropriate as on the GR86 but should still sort of work
