GR86 Paint Chip Kits

Did you ever get any resolution on this? I looked on the Chipex site, but the code didn't include 'DAR' for Magnetite Grey.

DAR is electric blue, the magnetite comes up if you search for GR86, it's P8Y.

I managed to miss the stop blocks on the driveway the other day and rolled gently into the wall, producing two v small scuffs on the front bumper. Hardly noticeable, but you know what it's like when this sort of thing happens...

I ordered from Chipex and they sent me the wrong paint code (posted about it further up), but I just sent them an email saying it should be "DAR", but it turns out Toyota gave them the wrong code initially (classic). They sent me a replacement no problem.

EDIT: Ignore, sorry. Just realised you're not after DAR, you are after Magnetite Grey - yes, DAR is for Electric Blue.

I used the Sapphire blue paint kit from Chipex yesterday. The colour match was perfect I am pleased to say. I did several paint chips, received from a gravel lorry spilling its load in front of me. It has worked better than all other chip paint I have used in the past but does take time. I'm going out again soon to go over some.

I have both the Toyota and Chipex kits, picked up a few on holiday. I'll try both and see what the finishing looks like for both.
