GR Yaris Ooooo! An update!

I ordered in Jan, but the dealer ordered the car early last year. So I was lucky to grab this order for me. VIN I got some weeks ago, need to check the number....

Mine is in the high16k's

Does it say, that its number 16k out of 25 k and there are around 8.000 more to build

It doesn’t give you an “out of number” it is assumed they will stop at 25k and the numbers show that when final orders are delivered in September will be close to that mark.

Obviously there was a suggestion of producing more but the world has changed quite a lot since then.
 
Oh you cant announce and sell a limited car and then 2 years later sell another 25k.....
But I think there will be a gr corolla

It wasn’t announced or sold as a ‘limited’ car though, just that they initially intended to build at least 25,000. And there are quite a few 1.5 hybrid versions for the JDM as well within that 25,000. Not sure how many though and I don’t know who does?!
 
Looks like I’m a member of the “JY” order club too. Signed on the dotted line at local dealership in May 2021. Waitlist boredom was momentarily lifted last week when spotting a GR Yaris with Monaco plates being trailered up the valley in a French ski resort. That’s service for you. Boots, skis, ski pass and GR Yaris! Suspect the end destination was a private chalet in Vallée de la Manche, Morzine.
 
I'm expecting my J number any day now, I ordered in May as well, so hopefully JY not JZ or whatever comes after that ha
 
I had a call from Toyota online today. Apparently I'm next on the list if they have a cancellation if I want to take a car early. That's early for October where it was pushed to from the original May 22 date, although I guess if it might be earlier than May if I get lucky. Obviously I said YES! Apparently there's a few in the country now due for delivery and statistically some potential owners will cancel at this point. The joys of the very low refundable 'get me in the queue and I'll decide later' deposit. Fingers crossed......

Exciting, are you a JR/JS/JT/JU order?
 
I've never had letters, just a seven digit number in the app and a 13 digit number with three letters in the middle in the MyToyota web page.

Strange. In the app I have 2 letters followed by 4 numbers which is what I think most people have.

I seem to remember seeing something starting with ORCA at some point but having looked at my screen print from when I placed the online order the was the 13 digit sequence of numbers/letters/numbers

I read somewhere that online orders have a different numbering system. Maybe someone with an online order can confirm.

Assuming it's still the same as when I ordered, mine was an online order and had no letters. It was a 6 or 7 digit number I think, starting in 067, when at the time dealer orders began with JO.

The app later changed to having a long 17 digit number for some reason, starting on 00005233 .

When did you order?

I'm in the same boat (online order, originally quoted May, then Oct)
