My KA order was placed towards the end of May but I think the dealer sat on it for a few weeks!!Those with KA/KB orders. Would be interesting to know when you ordered. Book closed around 8/9th July.
My KB was placed at the very end of June 21, so expect Iāll be chewing my fingernails a bit longer! My KA order was placed towards the end of May but I think the dealer sat on it for a few weeks!!

Looks like dealer sat on my order for a few days! Whatās the first number after the A in KA? Have you had a Build Notification in MyT, Slammer? My KA order placed 28 June 21 been told it should be here 19 th January
KA42 number MyT still says progressing order but dealer says January deliveryLooks like dealer sat on my order for a few days! Whatās the first number after the A in KA? Have you had a Build Notification in MyT, Slammer?
KB5, ordered on 9 July so one of the very last - Pure White Circuit Pack. The dealer told me at the time it was one of the last five orders in the country, I wasnāt quite sure I believed it at the time but seems like it might well have been true!
Most recent update I got was an estimate of early March - though slightly annoyingly every monthly update is given with something along the lines of ābut itāll almost certainly be much earlier than thatā. I just agree with whatever they say now, it seems easier!
Youād have thought that after the fifth or sixth delay they might stop saying thatā¦
My dealer was very good in saying Iāll only tell you something when I know something.Looking back to when I was waiting, I too was frustrated by the lack of valid updates received. Now reading so many other's have had these issues , I'm now feel the dealerships where let down by Toyota's lack of up dates to the dealers
Im sure Toyota just decided to prioritize the finnish orders since some of us played a key role in winning the WRC championship this year!I can't explain why I have an unfathomable hatred for Finland nowLucky git getting only a year wait!
Congratulations though
Lucky lucky man. I ordered December 2021 also in Finland and just got a notification as well before christmas about the build, expected delivery in Marchā¦Finally I had a reason to register. My GRY is being built! I got a notification today. Nice late christmas present
- 29th of March 2022 order placed (Finland) with original ETA December 2022
- 3rd of June 2022 dealer informed ETA changed to April 2023
- 4th of December 2022 app updated first time. More specific locations appeared, including shipping route
- 26th of December 2022 Build started
Assuming it takes roughly two months (so delivery early March 2023?) for it to arrive it took 11-12 months in total.
Now its time to order winter shoes for it?

So for the rest of you, delivery times vary also in Finlandā¦
All colours are built simultaneously (see this still from the Motomachi build video, click for full thing), so unless they literally ran out of paint I doubt the colour has anything to do with it.I also ordered in late December of 2021, the car went into build in the final days of November 2022 and is arriving late January/early February. I wonder if it's a color thing, as I heard that the dealership delivered a black one in November which was ordered at the same time as mine.

All absolutely typical of a modern production plant. The days of having to do a single model on a Model-T-style "production line" are ancient history, most plants can build multiple disparate models, not just variants, at the same time as JIT doesn't really care whether the parts are for a different trim level or a different model/bodystyle from one car to the next, as long as the supply chain and infrastructure are designed to physically deliver the components/sub-assemblies.It's even more interesting than just colour. If you look carefully at that video, and because I'm sad, I have... you can see conv pack wheels, and circuit packs, along with LHD and RHD variants in build at the same time.
