I imagine I'll get a call on Monday telling me it's ready, maybe Tuesday, and I'll go get it on Saturday.... and an absolute guarantee of no sleep on Friday night... because it'll be GR Yaris Christmas Eve.

My first new car as well.

You get to enjoy it more and more as you get to know it, and it even does the mundane well.

Just don't hit any badgers.

Just had a nice email with a picture showing the PDI happening.

Also mentioned my 1.9% agreement for the first time so he's not going to be shocked about that one ;D

Update: Docs Monday, and I know my number plate

Went and seen my car today, sadly I took pictures of the other one front of house as mine was hiding in the back.
Had a moment of madness after seeing last nights posts about private plates (same name :giggle:) Only £399 for the one I wanted GR72 ***
But now I have to wait for the dvla to send it before I can collect the car, so looking like next Thursday.

Dealer is trying to work out the valuation of my current car at the moment. Finance docs today hopefully.

He's already alluded to arranging a pickup date.

Edit: So raising a new order, and adjusting the finance bits... let's see if they try to shaft me with the increased price and non 1.9%. Hope they don't, I'm not much interested in a scrap today. End of the day, I have an order with the original rates... they just need to adjust it based on the contribution they refused to do at the time.

I actually popped it on the original post here, just so everyone was aware of the specifics, but I was a JW1.

In other news, just had the new order... with the correct price on it, and whilst the finance deal wasn't actually the 1.9% 42 month I'd asked for, I'm on the 24 month 0%... which frankly is probably better anyway. Got within a few hundred quid of what Motorway would have given me for the part exchange.

I pick up on Thursday.
 
Just sorted out the three day drive away insurance and the DVLA registration stuff.

Interestingly, I had no idea what my NCB was, so I gave Greenlight a call. Interestingly, they originally didn't want to insure a car worth over £30k when I last spoke to them, but I talked to a chap over there today who told me not only could they do it, but gave a price, after literally phoning up the underwriter to check. Would need to get a S5 Tracker and Immobiliser though.

Hi, S5 Trackers are fairly cheap but the subscription costs do ramp the cost up

I'm actually a bit sad ... I wish I had space to keep my RS Megane, but I just don't... but I really don't want to sell it either :(

Really looking forward to picking up the Yaris, but also really sad to see the Megane go. Had it nearly ten years.

Feels like taking a pet to the vet for the last time.
