GR Yaris Oi! Oi! Savaloy!

Mine took 48 hours from delivery of the car too collection. I connected to the car in the app before I owned it, Morrisons 95 fuel looking at the 2 mile journey, 3 bad accelerations and one bad braking !

went straight to Shell to dilute the fuel, very happy with my purchase 😊

Thanks! Closest fuel station to my dealer is an Esso so I hope they whack 99 in instead of 95. To be honest, I'm probably going to ask my salesman to ensure it's got 99 in, and provide a receipt... honestly, I'd rather they put nothing at all in rather than £20 of 95. It'll still cost them the same to put in 99

My NCD runs out in 4 days so might have to insure a car I don't have and without a reg which sucks as I imagine the comparison websites add some cash on for the hassle. Probably give my usual Adrian flux and sky a phone just to see (even though I promised myself 3 project cars will not happen and this is staying OEM).
Must be waiting for the go ahead from Toyota head office to make sure my car is going to the right dealer or something as its been in the country longer than most.

Mine is on the move, I think.... my status in intermediate deliveries was set to 'current' earlier and it's just changed to 'inTransit' from Derby.

I guess I should probably know tomorrow, surely it can't take more than 24 hours to get from Derby to just south of London.

Dive deeper into intermediateDeliveries... use the preview, rather than response, you can click on the arrow on the side to expand it further.

In technical terms, intermediateDeliveries is an array of objects, [ shows it's the start of an array, and the { is the start of the object... there's 4 entries... Japan, Portbury, Derby, and your Dealer, in that order. Each has info on locationCode, locationName... that's where I'm getting those statuses from for mine.

Dealer hasn't confirmed it's mine yet.... but considering all the other data, there's a good chance. If this is true though, when it hits inTransit your car is on the truck. Dealer said they're going to confirm the cars... so here is hoping I get a notification, or email soon. Looks like five arrived today in Guildford though.

Ha I'm almost as excited for yours as I am for mine...it's been a long journey :ROFLMAO:

It has, hasn't it... it's only 30 miles away now... but... apparently they've had 40 odd cars arrive in the last two days so they have a heinous backlog, so there's almost no chance I'll get it this weekend.

And MyT has updated too.

@mjscall You'll be in the same boat soon... guessing you might be able to pick yours up somewhere in the week of the 14th?

Hmm, it's not at the dealership any more and seems to be in an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere... with two body shops there.

Don't know if my phone call to Toyota UK helped this morning but mine has now changed to 'in Transit'.
Suspect they just wanted 100% confirmation the change of dealer.

Corroded, do you know if your dealer has an actual workshop or if the work is maybe outsourced? My previous dealer never had a specific workshop and used a communal workshop.

With the first thing, I'm not so sure. Where does it say it's going in the 3rd entry ... where's it being delivered to? The one below Derby in the list.

No idea about the dealer workshops or whatnot tbh, it's just a bit sus it's in the middle of nowhere... only thing with it is it maybe it's not actually at either body shop, but they are just using it as a storage yard, maybe. The actual location doesn't appear to be at either of them, but just kinda a concrete pad in the same place.

My NCS is still with me .... mine will also stay OEM , as a suggestion you could buy a plate from DVLC swansea , they still have some crackers on there that have not seen the Gazoo premium , it might be worth a blag . Depending on how many cars you have roadworthy Admiral Multicar is worth a look . Best of luck ( GR62GAZ ) sad as it seems its my 60th birthday present to my self . Hope it helps & NCS Jaaahris forever :0)

Heh, thanks, it's been a journey for sure! I live about 25 miles from Guildford though... it's not even the closest Toyota dealer to me, it's just they were the only ones with a GR Yaris in stock when I went for a test drive.

Nearly there!

Takes me back 12 months, as I seemed to have to wait longer than most (well, as others were being brought forward mine was delayed due to an issue with parts, possibly chips, for the Convenience Pack cars, so mine arrived when originally expected rather than being brought forward by a month or two).

When it eventually arrived it was a hell of a relief, and I was expecting it to be an anti-climax. It wasn't.

I've had three test drives now  Still get the same feeling every time I drive it, can't imagine that's going to get any less special with it being my own, and my first new car ever, and realistically it might be my only new car ever.

If anything I'm currently in a slight mourning period for my Megane... in about a week, I won't have her any more... a car I've had for over eight and a half years. Bittersweet, for sure.

But in terms of waiting now, it doesn't feel so bad either. It's at the dealer. There's really nowhere for it to get stuck with little explanation. I imagine I'll get a call on Monday telling me it's ready, maybe Tuesday, and I'll go get it on Saturday.... and an absolute guarantee of no sleep on Friday night... because it'll be GR Yaris Christmas Eve.
